NIGHTMARE Where do I begin... I had found a 2016 Ford Focus on Truecar.com, it was a great deal. The only problem was the dealership I had to buy it from. First Where do I begin... I had found a 2016 Ford Focus on Truecar.com, it was a great deal. The only problem was the dealership I had to buy it from. First, I set up an appointment and it was confirmed on the phone for a Monday about a week in advance. When I showed up nobody's was ready for me and Chris, the salesman who was supposed to sell me my car wasn't even there. They frantically pulled the car I was purchasing around and it was covered in dirt. Chris, had assured me before I showed up that the car would be detailed, filled up with gas, that the oil would be changed, and all of the fluids checked. They were completely unorganized and I had to sit there for 4 HOURS until anybody even gave me any news about what the next step in the process was. After another 2 hours of the jumbling around having me sit an office they finally got me out of there with the car. The whole time I stayed relax and understanding about there incompetence. They washed the car and filled it with gas only after I had asked numerous times. Unfortunately, I assumed that they at least changed the oil and topped off the fluids... the next day I left to go to California. On my way over the pass my engine starting overheating and I had to pull of to the side of the road. I checked the engine which was steaming hot and the reservoir which holds antifreeze was completely empty (Antifreeze is what cools the engine). This could of been potentially very dangerous and could cause problems down the road with my car. I filled it up with antifreeze after I walked to the closest corner store which was a mile away because I didn't want to further harm my engine. Now let's fast forward to a week later. I was already upset and was planning on filing a complaint and just letting it be... but then my service light comes on and says the I need an oil change... are you kidding me? They didn't do anything that they had originally promised me and could of caused me harm and probably will hurt me financially in the future. They showed me 0 respect and it was the worst customer service I've ever encountered and I am not exaggerating. I am currently talking to a lawyer who has informed me that there are specific standards that every dealership has to meet when selling the car like making sure that at the very least the oil is changed. PLEASE IF YOU ARE PLANNING ON BUYING A CAR PLEASE GO WITH ANOTHER DEALERSHIP! It will save you from a nightmare. Thanks for reading. More
