Scheduled a routine service on a 04 Toyota. Including Oil change, Rotate and Balance the tires. They also were to look at the CD player for a malfunction. 3 weeks ahead of time I reserved by their web-site a 12:30 appointment. Time to complete was estimated at 2:00 pm. What happened.. We get there at 12:30, drop off the car, get a ride to a restaurant for lunch. They were to call with any issues or problems. No calls as of 2:00. I called the dealership for an update. Nothing yet my rep. Jeff was out to lunch he would call right when he returned. 2:45 nothing yet. Called for a ride back.
Arrived at Little Apple Toyota/Honda Service department. Nothing yet...Jeff tells me (lies) to my face that it is getting worked on and that they are having trouble with the radio issue.. I wander around the lot looking for my car...no car. 3:30 I talk to Jeff again, he calls the "service tech" to see progress.. he lies to my face again and says that the tech had to start over with the rotate and balance job... I see a Toyota over across the street..shouldn't be mine. 3:50 walk 50 yards across the street and see that it is my Toyota. Run back to the Service department. At this time 4:00 p.m. there are 6 people at the counter. I glance back over to my car. Service guy just gets in to my car I sprint over to my car and say excuse me sir what do you have left to do on this car? He says an oil change, a rotate and balance and look at the CD player. I confirm that nothing has been done for 3 and 1/2 hours on my car and tell him to drive it over to the service bay I will be taking my car. By this time there is only 1 person at the counter to vent my anger on. No real reason. Kevin the Service Department Manager said he had no reason that it takes them longer than 4 hours to change oil and rotate and balance tires and that he has no reason for it. No one knew the managers name or could spell it correctly, no one knew the owners full name or how to contact him. Near 4 hours of lies and disinformation and no one taking responsibility. This was unacceptable and no different from what I told them at the dealership. I will continue to tell everyone I know this horrible service story for years to come. And the best part..Jeff was no where to be found, just conveniently disappeared. In my opinion he is a worthless story teller at a worthless service department at a worthless car dealer.
