On Jan. 3rd I decided (kicking and screaming), to start the process of looking for a "new car". I was actually in the used SUV market, due to the size of my growing family.... I have bought my share of vehicles in the past, and was bracing myself for the "ride" that is the dreaded process of buying another vehicle. I narrowed it down on line, and emailed Mark Mitsubishi-Kia, and a couple other dealers, about a couple of their used SUV's.... At this point, I was pleasantly surprised. Within 15 mins, Chad, my iSales representative (as they call him), responded to me, and actually answered my questions about the best price, and specific vehicle info, via email, then called me within another 20 mins to ensure all my questions had been answered. The anti-high pressure technique Chad used differed greatly compared to prior car buying experiences. I was still very skeptical, but it only got better from there!! Turns out, Mark Kia was able to sell me a BRAND new 2011 Kia Sorento, and keep me inside my budget parameters!!! I never felt pressured, or uncomfortable or anything. The manager Barry, was very accessible and helpful as well. I must admit that I continued waiting for something to go wrong, but it never did. It seemed everyone I dealt w in the process, actually listened to my questions and concerns, and made it work for us!! Maybe car dealers have figured out the old way of buying and selling a car are just that, old and outdated. Mark has a great thing going there! I would recommend anyone who is looking for a new (or used) car to try them out. They were great to my family, and I. Bought a vehicle from them in October, still have not received the plates. The 90 day temp. plate expired and when I to DMV to renew they said the vehicle was not registered in my name. Went to the deale received the plates. The 90 day temp. plate expired and when I to DMV to renew they said the vehicle was not registered in my name. Went to the dealership and was told that there was a mixup and they forgot to do the emmissions test. They issued a 3 day permit so I could bring the vehicle back to the dealership for testing. After the test was done I was told that I would have the plate before the new temp expired. On the day the temp was to expire we called and was told that the new plate would be sent directly to our home via overnight express. Didn't happen called the manager and he said he would look into why we didn't receive the plate and call me right back. He didn't call I had to call again only to be told sorry he hadn't had a chance to look into it he would do so immediately and he would call within the next fifteen minutes. Again no call. So I sit with a vehicle that I paid for but can't drive because of their screwup and no idea when it will be sorted out. More
Customer service was amazing... friendly, knowledgeable staff. Never have to wait when you make an appointment. I went in for an oil change and my car was given a free 37 point inspection. I delt with Nick aka "the Squirrel" and he was great. It was the most painless car buying experience I have ever had. Thank you Mark Kia and Thank you Squirrel for selling me a great car at a great price. I buy all my cars from them now. Its very nice to buy a car somewhere and then 2 years later come back and my sales person still works there. I've never seen that anywhere else. Mark must really take care of his employees. That's nice to see in a cut throat business like the auto industry. More
Mark Kia is great. I have had a Kia of some type in my driveway for 7 years now. Everytime I go in to have my car serviced I know that it will be done correctly, on time and for the amount that was agreed driveway for 7 years now. You want the best oil you get the best oil. Likewise if you need a place to stay you can sit in the customer waiting area or they will drive you home and pick you up. Sometimes I have been lucky to get a loaner for the day, but it is not always available and I know this. The staff is friendly, Russ (you my man only you can work on my car) and Jon (What can I say. You return your calls the same day and you always have the answers. More
When the guy came in screamng at the sales department as I was sat down waiting for a quote for a new kia... I should have taken it as a sign from a higher power to RUN AND RUN FAST!!! I waited to see what the offer would be... and boy did I wait!!! (Three hours to be exact) and that was for one quote, But hey maybe thats just because I'm a Woman. now they did have a hard time I didn't have the best credit going into this. (but three hours, really?) They said I needed a co signer and yada yada...but there was no way that I could have gotten a car until next week. So I decided to leave.... Thats when it got ugly, They screamed at me "No one will give you a car today" and then continued yelling at me as I was leaving. I then went to Tempe Kia and in less than two hours walked out and go in my 2011 kia, for 1,500 less than Mark kia- oh and did I mention that they were charging me more for a 2010 but telling me it was a 2011? Just if you ever want to experience what the real effect of blood hungry car salesmen are... then by all means go for a visit. But, if you don't want to be treated like dirt then go to any other dealer.... Tempe Kia was amazing!!! More
Visited on 9/26/10 and was the worst experience by far at a car dealer. I had an appointment and still waited 2 1/2 hours at the dealership without a price offer on the vehicle I wanted to buy. Today I went with elderly parents to this dealership to buy an advertised car. The dealership wanted nearly a thousand more than their price on the internet, but it was a nice car so we entered negotiati buy an advertised car. We were then subjected to numerous games and tricks, rather than receiving a straight forward answer to our offer. They took our trade-in car's title to copy the VIN, and we didn't notice the sales manager slipping the title into his pocket. After wasting nearly an hour of our time without once providing an actual counteroffer, we left. Later, when we realised that they had out car title, we went back and were treated very rudely. The manager told us that he had the title in his pocket, but he would not even pull it out when we requested it. He insisted on trying to talk us into overpaying for the car for several minutes. When we tried to leave, he followed us out to our car, saying that he could offer more for a trade-in and he took our car keys to give to his mechanic. 5 minutes later he had't returned and we nearly had to force him to give our keys back. He then chased us to the parking lot, saying that he could meet our desired price, but all trust was lost by then and we drove away from the worst car dealer experience in our parent's 50 plus years of buying cars. The rating of '1' was given because of the dishonesty of all 3 people that we worked with there. More
