A dream come true When I was 5 years old, a friend of my parents bought himself a Mercedes for his 50th birthday. I remember it like it was yesterday. He gave me a ride and I decided that day, that when I turned 50 I would buy myself a Mercedes. Well, it's been 44 of those 45 years and the wait is finally over. We were driving by the Mercedes dealership in Portland and decided to go in and "look around". We met Dale Acelar and it became apparent that my dream was about to come true. Dale is SUPER knowledgeable about all things Mercedes. Not only is he knowledgeable, he is passionate about Mercedes and has a true love for the vehicle. I was very precise on what I wanted and he was awesome, and very patient with me. Always friendly, always ready to find what I wanted. I left the dealership that day ecstatic. After thinking about it overnight, I called Dale to see if I could come look at a different model just to make sure it was really what I wanted. He was so accommodating. "Absolutely. No problem. Whatever you want." was always his answer. So I came back, by myself, and just sat in the car. I touched everything, sat in every seat, played with all the buttons...all by myself. Dale would come to check on me every now and then, but mostly he just let me play...and fall in love. I did buy my car and it is the most beautiful thing I have ever owned. Although everyone at the dealership was super nice and so helpful, I am certain my experience was enhanced because of Dale. He is over the top professional, friendly, and ready to help. I would recommend anyone who is thinking of purchasing a Mercedes to go to the Portland dealership and ask for Dale. Your dream-come-true could be waiting. More

This was our first Mercedes purchase and we went to the dealership because it had been rated well on various social media websites. Having driven non-luxury cars till now, we were a little intimidated at t dealership because it had been rated well on various social media websites. Jeffery Glavin put us at ease, showed us the various cars that we could buy and took care to explain with great effort, the pros and cons of each car. After we had decided on our car, we explained to him that the vehicle was marked up by 10% as compared to the KBB value and he immediately reduced the price to the KBB value. No haggling, whatsoever. He was very warm and we walked out satisfied within 2 hours having all the paperwork done and the new car keys in our hand! I highly recommend this dealership if you want a new/used car! More

This is my second time working with Dale in the purchase of a Used Mercedes. My first experience was excellent even though I didn’t choose the correct car for me, which was my fault for not taking time to of a Used Mercedes. My first experience was excellent even though I didn’t choose the correct car for me, which was my fault for not taking time to find a good fit in an automobile for me. Dale helped me with the purchase of a 2007 C280 which was a good car but not completely my style which again it was my fault for not realizing that when I purchased it. Dale knew even though the C280 is a great car I wasn’t connecting with it. I contacted Dale again to look at several other vehicles to see if I could find a better fit, the problem was I had only had the C280 for 4 or 5 months. To find a vehicle to replace the C280 and not blow my budget out of the water I thought might be impossible. I went in and test drove a few cars and Dale helped me narrow it down to two. Dale listened to what I was saying and knew which direction to go when showing me different options. We were able to find a very good fit with a 2008 R550. I have only been in this car for 1 day and feel 100% more confident that this was the right choice compared to my previous purchase. Dale and George did a wonderful job at satisfying a difficult customer. I can be very picky over simple things most people would not even notice. There were several nice brand options other than Mercedes but I am glad I didn’t switch brands, Mercedes is what I wanted and I’m glad that is what I went with. I can’t say enough nice things about Dale Acelar he is truly concerned that you make the right choice for you all you have to do is be honest and let him know what you are looking for. From the visit through the lease of a C300 a few weeks later I encountered nothing but top-notch sales, service and other dealership professionals. Eventually the salesman who handled the deal was Benjamin Tait, who was superb in every respect: knowledgeable, honest and above all, a great listener, responding to my questions and concerns and sparing me any sort of canned sales pitch. When he wasn't available others assisted and there was no sense that competing for commissions would take priority over my own experience -- another great quality of this shop. I recommend the dealership unconditionally to true-blue car enthusiasts like myself, as well as those who simply want the facts, the best deal and an honest group to get the job done in good order.
