My Review Of Mike Shaw Subaru:
I have purchased my last 2 cars from Mike Shaw Subaru. A 2006 Outback Sport and my current 2008 Impreza WRX STi. From the first time I walked into Mike Shaw, everyone has always been very friendly and courteous.
During this specific visit, a "Check Engine" light has came on in my STi. I called and spoke to Ryan Smith, who stated that if I stopped by after I got off work he'd read the code for me for free. The code came up as a "System Too Lean" after we looked at this, he asked me a few questions about how the car had been running recently. After the brief discussion he stated that as the car had been running fine, and this can sometimes be caused by a brief bit of gunk on the fuel injectors or some such, that he could clear the message and if it comes back he'd make an appointment to get it looked at further.
Couple days later the light came back, I called him that morning and Ryan was very diligent in working around my schedule to make an appointment and provide me with a loaner. When I dropped my car off Dustin checked me in, as Ryan was caught up on a phone call. I had dealt with Dustin before, and he also has always been very nice and understanding. The problem turned out to be a MAF sensor going bad. They advised to replace it, which they did.
However, they quoted me a price of just the part, not adding the labor onto it. When I picked up my car the honored the quoted price they had provided me and did not charge for the labor.
Mike Shaw is one of the few places I trust with my car when I'm not able to perform what ever maintenance needs to be done.
