Hi Mark, thank you for taking the time to share your detailed feedback. We are truly sorry to hear that your recent experience at Morristown Nissan did not meet your expectations, especially as a loyal customer. We want to acknowledge your frustration regarding how the sales interaction unfolded. While it's not uncommon for service appointments to lead to discussions about vehicle upgrades, it’s clear from your review that the communication, pace of the process, and involvement of a contracted representative left you feeling pressured and misinformed—and that’s not acceptable. We’ve reviewed your case thoroughly, including the involvement of our third-party sales contractor and the steps taken throughout the transaction. While we understand that there may be some disappointment with the outcome, the final vehicle purchase, including the agreed-upon terms and trade-in modification, was completed with signed documentation and full disclosures. At this point, we are unable to offer a refund or financial reimbursement. That said, we absolutely recognize that your experience fell short in several areas, including how information was communicated and how your preferences were handled. We are taking your feedback seriously and are using it as a learning opportunity to improve how we manage service-to-sales interactions, particularly involving third-party representatives. We also want to ensure this doesn’t happen again to you or to any future customer. If there’s anything else we can do to support you with your new vehicle or ensure your future visits are handled with the care and transparency you expect, please don’t hesitate to contact us directly. Our goal remains to serve you with honesty and integrity, and we hope to have the opportunity to earn back your trust over time.

Thank you for your response. I will turn 70 in six months, and I had hoped that after prior positive experiences, I had found a dealership that consistently operates with honesty, respect, and fairness. My experience at Morristown Nissan on July 26, 2025, was deeply disappointing and fell far short of these standards. As a Christian, I first sought resolution directly with the dealership. Beginning July 28, I contacted management and owners to discuss my concerns. I finally spoke briefly with the General Manager, who quickly cited Tennessee’s lack of a cooling-off period, but did allow me to voice my complaints and provided two owner contacts. Despite leaving multiple messages, I received no reply. On August 3, after exhausting direct efforts, I shared my experience online and filed a formal BBB complaint. First issue: I provided personal information, including my Social Security number, without explanation. My credit was checked at 8:44 a.m., before serious discussions or test drives. Unauthorized credit checks are illegal, and I request verification from your records when I authorize permission to check my credit and the time. Second issue: I was asked to initial a minimal scribbled piece of paper and then submitted a $7,500 down payment upon agreeing to trade my 2024 Platinum Murano for a 2025 Platinum Murano. Once contacted, my wife opposed trading her vehicle, and I asked repeatedly to cancel the deal and go home. I was told it was too late, leaving me in a state of panic. Please remember that I wanted out of the deal before going to finance with the trade modification. Third, the salesperson engaged in a bait-and-switch. I was promised a 2025 Murano Platinum but was shown and sold a lower-value model without full disclosure. As stated above, I was pressured to honor the deal or forfeit $7,500. I reluctantly signed documents. Our previous four vehicles were Platinum models, and there was no reasonable reason I would consider trading for this downgrade. When I refused to take possession of the vehicle over the vehicle not being a Platinum, the salesperson stated, “The 2025 Murano SL is the same as the 2024 Murano Platinum”. The sales manager was standing there and heard the comment and said, “That does matter since this was the vehicle I test drove”. BTW the sales manager made several other false statements and held me hostage by not returning my wife‘s vehicle keys. I would like to be given her name give privately in case I pursue this matter further and retain an attorney. I can’t find her on the website. Finally, the dealership’s owners and management need to take responsibility. On one of the busiest sales days, they were unavailable to address disputes or supervise staff. I was repeatedly told that no decisions could be made until contacting the General Manager two days later, leaving me effectively trapped until leaving the lot. I urge Morristown Nissan to address this matter with integrity, fairness, and transparency. I seek resolution grounded in honesty, accountability, and justice, and I hope the dealership will honor these principles in responding to my complaint.
