This is the most unorganized, unprofessional, untrustworthy businesses i have ever had the displeasure of encountering. I am in desperate need of a replacement vehicle after being involved in an accident. I found one online and was contacted by MJ(sales manager). We negotiated the terms, he sent a quote, and I accepted. I was contacted by Vanessa(salesperson) with a video showing the vehicle.I enquired about having the vehicle delivered and the first available day was Saturday. I told MJ that if I could not pick it up myself beforehand, that I would like it delivered on Saturday. While I was at work on Friday, I got a random text message from the tow driver and he was on the way. I had to leave work, come home, and spend 40 minutes dealing with the delivery. MJ changed the contract and increased the price by almost $4K without saying a word. I refused the delivery and sent the car back. MJ called when he realized and apologized profusely pleading for another chance to make it right. He revised the contract, resent it, and I accepted. He made arrangements to have the car delivered on Saturday, as requested. Saturday morning, I was in contact with both MJ and Vanessa repeatedly and was assured the car would be delivered. MJ asked that I speak with the finance dept to go over the paperwork prior to taking delivery. I asked him for the number to that dept. At 2pm, he told me he would have Vanessa start the drive to deliver the car but she never showed up. Both MJ and Vanessa stopped answering texts and I have not heard back from the dealership. More

I had an extremely frustrating and dishonest experience at this dealership. They advertised a price that explicitly included the dealership service charge and e-filing fee, which I confirmed in writing wit at this dealership. They advertised a price that explicitly included the dealership service charge and e-filing fee, which I confirmed in writing with them beforehand. Yet, when the numbers were "run," they added over $5,000 in additional dealership fees—an 18% upcharge on the car’s price—despite stating these were already included! I drove from Miami to North Fort Lauderdale, wasting 4 hours of my time, only to be told I misunderstood their pricing. Their contract wording was crystal clear – it referenced official fees only, which typically include government-mandated costs like registration, title, and taxes. Dealership fees (such as service or administrative fees) are not official fees, and it’s misleading to present them as such. The sales manager refused to admit the mistake and even tried to argue I misinterpreted legal text. To make things worse, they lowballed my trade-in offer at $18k, while other dealers offered $20k-21k. Oh, and that $1,000 promotion they advertise on used vehicles? That wasn’t even factored in! In the end, the car I wanted, priced at $27.5k, combined with their lowball trade-in offer of $18k, meant I was expected to pay an additional $16.7k on top—61% of the original price! Absolutely ridiculous. It's no surprise this dealership has a 2.3 out of 5 stars rating on DealerRater.com, based on 110 reviews. Clearly, I’m not an isolated case – many others have had similar experiences. I strongly recommend checking those reviews before wasting your time here! The only positive was Luke, the sales rep, who was friendly and tried to help. Unfortunately, the manager didn’t even bother with an apology or a handshake. Avoid this place! More

I recently had an incredibly disappointing experience at North Fort Lauderdale Subaru, and I feel compelled to share my story to warn potential customers. What started as an exciting purchase quickly turned North Fort Lauderdale Subaru, and I feel compelled to share my story to warn potential customers. What started as an exciting purchase quickly turned into a nightmare due to their dishonest practices and poor after-sale services. 1.Scam on Price: After agreeing on a price for the vehicle, I was shocked to find additional charges mysteriously added to the final price, Despite my repeated attempts to get a clear explanation, the dealership finance manager, sales and the owner himself were evasive and dismissive. It felt like a classic bait-and-switch tactic to inflate the final cost. 1. After-Sale Services: The after-sale services promised during the sale were either subpar or nonexistent. Basic maintenance and support, which were supposed to be part of the package (I bought a Platinum waranty), after few days I found various malfunction, were suddenly "not responding to my calls and messages to set up an appointment, then I spent 2 weeks with Land Rover dealer to make all the maintenances. 3. Aftermarket Tires Scam: One of the most frustrating aspects was the aftermarket tires. I was assured these would be high-quality and OEM tires for my Range Rover as listed on the ad Bridgestone brand, suitable for my vehicle. Instead they replaced it , I received cheap, poorly-made tires that started showing noise, pulling, vibration and swaying on the road within a few days. When I tried to address this with the dealership and the owner, they refused to take responsibility and blamed it on "normal", so be ready that you will not receive a car as listed on the ad. 4. Untrustworthy Staff: The overall experience left me feeling deceived and taken advantage of. The staff and the owner at North Fort Lauderdale Subaru seemed more interested in making a quick sale than in ensuring customer satisfaction or maintaining integrity (customer centric). Their lack of transparency and accountability is alarming. **Conclusion:** I strongly advise anyone considering purchasing a pre-owned vehicle from North Fort Lauderdale Subaru to think twice. My experience has been nothing short of a nightmare, and I wouldn't want anyone else to go through the same ordeal. There are plenty of reputable dealerships out there—don't waste your time and money on one that engages in such shady practices. More

Purchased a vehicle from North Fort Lauderdale Subaru that was listed for 23k. Expected additional fees (tax, registration, dealer prep, etc.) and there were. Vehicle was used so there was also a rather that was listed for 23k. Expected additional fees (tax, registration, dealer prep, etc.) and there were. Vehicle was used so there was also a rather exorbitant "reconditioning fee" that apparently didn't cover floor mats as the vehicle came without them. The finance person showed me numerous service contracts that I wasn't interested in due to the additional expense but he said that there was a less expensive contract which I agreed to. The sales contract showed the more expensive service contract that I turned down, adding an additional 3k to the purchase. He also told me to finance the vehicle through the dealership's credit union partner instead of my credit union because they would give me a lower interest rate. Turned out my CU's interest rate was a point lower. All in all, the 23k list price became a 31.2k purchase price. Once I discovered the bait and switch service contract I cancelled it and was due a refund (3K) that I was told would take 8-12 wks to process. I asked why it would take so long and was told that that is just the "industry standard." After almost 16 wks still no refund. I called, spoke to the finance person who handled the cancellation and was told he'd look into it. He called back a few hrs later to say that there had been some mishandling of the request and he'd make sure it was rectified. I could expect a check within the next 2 wks. 4 wks go by and no check. I call again and speak to a woman in accounts payable. She doesn't know why I haven't received my refund but will be sure to put a check in the mail with in 48 hrs. Almost 3 wks later, no check. I call again, speak to the same woman who asks me in an incredulous tone - you didn't receive a check? She doesn't know what happened but says that if I don't mind coming to the dealership she'll leave a check for me in the service managers area. Low and behold there actually was a check waiting for me - 5 MONTHS AFTER MY CANCELLATION. Gross incompetence or an intentional delay that benefitted someone? While it could be the former, my gut tells me it's the latter. I don't like being lied to or deceived. My car buying experience at N. Ft Laud Subaru made me feel like I was a victim of both. Buyer beware! More
