My Review of Oak Lawn Toyota:
Sales person was ok to work with...just a little pushy. After we decided to purchase the 2008 Matrix, we met with the director of finance(our credit was fine so securing a loan was not a problem). He seemed friendly to start with then he turned into the stereotypical car salesman. He pushed the extended warranty hard, we gave in and said yes. BIG MISTAKE!
The man told us "everything" was covered and did not go over the contract line by line. It was only after we got home and really looked at the fine print we discovered that "everything" was not covered, there were too many exclusions. We decided to cancel the contract. Calling Toyota first we were told to go the the dealership and they would cancel the contract right away. When we went back (to the same man)he tried to convince us that by canceling "we would have no warranty at all and we would be responsible for anything that happened to the car". He refused to cancel that day, we told him that Toyota said it would be done right away. His response to that was "Well, Toyota doesn't make my rules!" He was very hostile.
We are still trying to get the contract cancelled. It's only been 18 days since we purchased the car.
Needless to say, the experience with Oakbrook Toyota was less than pleasant. So much so that when we decided to replace my minivan, we went to a different Toyota dealer and found a car that I love and were treated much, much better.
DO NOT GO TO OAKBROOK TOYOTA...FOR ANYTHING!!!
