I purchased 2018 Nissan Pathfinder (VIN Ending with XXXXXX) from Ryan’s Open Road Acura in East Brunswick, NJ on Oct, 19, 2020. My Sales Rep was Luis. This vehicle had 62,009 miles when I purchased it XXXXXX) from Ryan’s Open Road Acura in East Brunswick, NJ on Oct, 19, 2020. My Sales Rep was Luis. This vehicle had 62,009 miles when I purchased it and I was told on the day of purchase (Oct 19, 2020) that vehicle will have 1K Miles/30 days (whichever comes first) dealer warranty. On top of that I purchased Easy Care extended warranty. Everything was signed on Oct 19 and I took the vehicle home. After a few days, vehicle’s engine started making noises and it would release white smoke from exhaust. Assuming vehicle was covered under dealer warranty (1K miles/30 days), I brought it back to Ryan’s Open Road Acura in East Brunswick, NJ. On Nov 2, 2020 Ryan’s Open Road Acura in East Brunswick, NJ technician looked at the vehicle and after diagnostic and test drive said it seems ok so drive it as is and if problem persists, bring it back. Obviously, problem did persist and I had to bring the vehicle back on Nov 18, 2020 to Ryan’s Open Road Acura in East Brunswick, NJ and they gave me a loaner to look bit deeper into the issue. Next day, Service dept manager Steve called me and said, I need to take the car to Nissan because they can diagnose it better plus since I have the extended warranty, it should be all covered. I didn’t agree given the fact dealer warranty was still good (1K/30 days) but they insisted they are an Acura dealership and they cannot diagnose Nissan vehicle. I took the vehicle from there to Nissan Dealership in Keyport, NJ. Once they looked at the vehicle and vehicle’s old records, they told me this vehicle was brought to 4 different dealerships for service since it had engine issue. They suggested I go back to the Ryan’s Open Road Acura in East Brunswick, NJ and they should get it fixed since you are still under (1K/30 days) warranty. I came back to Ryan’s Open Road Acura in East Brunswick, NJ again before Thanks Giving holidays and let them know what Nissan Service dept was telling me and Used Car Sales Manager “Freddy” came out to help me. After discussing for over an hour with other managers in the back area, he came back and shown me a car fax and basically said “you see when a car is brought to me, we run a car fax but if there is nothing in the car fax report about the engine issue we can’t do much about it because we don’t know about it”. Really? Well, what exactly is the dealer warranty for then? Anyhow, “Freddy” told us what he can do is, he can take the car back and let me pick something else basically a “trade” which of course comes with its own complications. After Thanks Giving, I was notified by Nissan Service Dept at Keyport, NJ that my Extended Warranty adjuster denied the claim because car had this issue before I purchased it from Ryan’s Open Road Acura in East Brunswick, NJ. I, once again stopped by at the Ryan’s Open Road Acura in East Brunswick, NJ on Nov 30, 2020. I met with Use Car Sales Manger “Freddy” again and after spending more than 2 hours he looked through few vehicles that could possibly work with my budget. He found 2017 RDX but when we presented the numbers they were high. I asked “Freddy” I know trade is not worth for me but how come Ryan’s Open Road Acura in East Brunswick, NJ is not taking responsibility that I was dealt a bad hand and they should simply get the vehicle fixed as per the contract. I didn’t get any response to that and instead I was getting lame excuses like I was “cursing”. Fact is, he didn’t want to deal with the issue, he didn’t want to acknowledge vehicle that was not certified/ was sold and now it’s my headache to deal with it. I am writing this to let you all know what went on when I purchased a defective vehicle and the treatment I received from the dealership and used car Sales Manager. Bad taste for good. More
Very HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE with this dealership. I came in with my Moneys READY IN HAND AND VERY SERIOUS buying on the BRAND NEW RDX 2021 CAR . First , they offered me a match with the other dealership offer but i refused because If i choose you , you should give me an offer that you want to earn my business and beat your competitions with a better offer . They offered me with a price with just only $700 less and a floor mat . I wanted to save trouble and i agreed . However , they gave you the discount , they earn it back somewhere else. Before i even asked them for the out to door offer , i asked them to check my apr rate first . They tricked me into signing the paperworks first then tells me about my apr rate . It clearly took me more than 3 hours for all the paperworks . Here comes the great part , they offered me an APR RATE OF 6.1 for finance AFTER the pandemic . The interest that they earned from the finance is just WAY ABOVE the incentives they gave me . I refused the rate and wanted to withdraw . I have a 8 year EXCELLENT CREDIT SCORES . 0 LATE PAYMENTS WITH CLEARLY OVER 3K payments per month . The other salesman or manager came over and tried to brainwashed me by telling me that my score is only worth that rate . I told him that the rate is even above my mortgage loan and he tells me that mortgage loan and auto loan is different . Auto loans should be around 3-4.5 before pandemic but after pandemic , they offered me 6.1 rate which is UNBELIEVABLE . I offered to find my own auto loan but they refused and said they will increase the price of the vehicle if i use other finance . I WASTED 4 HOURS OF MY TIME HERE WITH THEM FOR THIS RATE. If i knew that 6.1 rate in the beginning , i wouldn't bother even stay for that NEW CAR. I have learned my lesson that i should go to the dealership with higher rating . No wonder they have a 3.9 rating on this dealership and other dealership has higher . More
I bought a car from these people and believe me once you do you’re on your own. The worst customer service I’ve ever experience and I’m 73 years old. I want to thank Raymond Lee for helping me in the process of getting an SUV! Best and easy experience ever! He made the process so easy I didn't even have to go there till I had to sign the papers. I used to go to another Acura for my cars, but now that I met Ray and saw what he can do for me, I know where i'm going again in the future and referring anyone that is interested in an Acura. He was so helpful and friendly it's like I've known him for years! Anyone thinking of getting an Acura, go to Open Road and ask for Ray. You won't be disappointed! More

I never saw the Manager and it seamed he was messing with her because he made her go back and forth about 20 times over the course of 4 hours. We finally came up with a deal and started to move forward when we found out the Mileage was 7000 miles more than what we saw in the original online ad " BAIT AND SWITCH". So I asked for 500 dollars off the price of the vehicle. The manager said he would only take off $200. I felt it was not enough for our time and the false advertisement. The Manager never came to talk to me or my daughter himself, he used this poor saleswoman to do his dirty work. I believe he and the saleswoman had issues with each other. That should not have been taken out on my daughter and I. This was a 7000 mile bait and switch that he never owned up to. My daughter and I went to ACURA OF OCEAN and bought a vehicle that same day and were very pleased. The sales staff and the Manager were extremely helpful. More

Great After going to several dealers and getting the run around. I went to Openroad Acura and met with Raymond Lee. He came with a great price on a car I was interested in. There was no back and fourth no games no hassle . I got there at 10 Am and by 1 Pm my daughter was driving her new Acura home. I wanted to purchase a car in cash and was told they have better deals to finance. She presented me with an offer to finance and I said I would think about it over night. Antonella said she would follow up in the morning with me. I never received a call from her and when I did a few days later, it was a receptionist, Ana. Antonella could not take the time to get on the phone to speak with me to make a sale. Antonella has a very condescending demeanor. When I was test driving the car, she made comments about how I was unaware there was a Black Friday special going on and I found her to be very rude. If she wants to make a sale, she needs to get on the phone and follow up with what she said she was going to do. On top of that, Antonella is a liar. She told us there were only 2 cars left of the exact model and color I wanted (1 in NY and 1 in NJ). I believe this is a tactic she uses to try to urge you to buy a car from her. Please save your time and work with a different sales rep or go to the Acura dealership in Bridgewater where I ultimately bought my car. I had a great experience in Bridgewater where they made the entire process very easy and pleasant. Also, in Bridgewater, they magically had 2 of the exact cars I was looking for. According to Antonella, this was not the case. If you want to be insulted, have a negative experience, be talked down to, call Antonella! More
