I hope all is well with you and the new car. I am writing to you because I came across a web site called “Dealeratter.com” and I saw comments from you about me specifically and I feel I must comment on them. I am sorry you feel the way you do about me but a lot of the weight of your feelings falls on the salesperson regarding the get ready and delivery of your car. I cannot comment on that but I would like to give you some answers to your statements. My job here is to assist the customer in there financing and leasing needs and handle there insurance as well as “offer” the customer items that are of interest to them, if you were not interested then a simple no which you said and I left it, I did not push you into anything. My job is to explain the obvious that a customer in the everyday world does not realize. You did not “bust” me as you say on a story about car rims, any car’s rim can get damage from a pot hole or curb and to believe it can’t is not correct and the make of car does not matter to damaging a rim. In regards to the HALT shine, I told you the truth that I am dealing with this company for over 10 years and there web site was not the best source of info and it would lead you to a decision not to buy it, but you went on that and not I what I said. I am in fact working with them to update there web site UN like your answer “sure” that you got me. I in fact was at there offices on Thursday this week, my day off to look at the new site and it was great. The main responsibility of a Finance manager is not to make the customer walk out with the highest monthly payment, a good finance manager would not and that’s me, I’ve been doing this job for 24 years and I put my head on my pillow every night. I work to support my family like you do and this is the job I’ve chosen. Also in regards to the financing. Whoever told you to put money down on a zero percent financing program is totally wrong. The bank is giving you the money for free, why would you not take the whole amount? The reason why people put money down on a loan is because of the interest rate, the last I check you were at zero. For you to say never listen to a finance manager is wrong, some of us are here to help if the customer would allow us to but you put up a wall as soon as you walked in my office.inregards to your statement that we gat paid more by upping your payment from the bank, We get paid a flat amount from the bank on any financing we do, so to finance more or less means nothing to us. You gave back money to the bank that they didn’t ask for and it was for free, so where’s the benefit to that unless there was an interest rate. I never set a time for you to come in that I remember, that’s the salesmen job, if the salesman did not communicate with you then for that I am sorry. The rest of your response to dealerater is for the salesman and if he wants he can comment on that, but I need to let you know the true answers to your statements and I will publish this email on dealerater so everyone will know I am not the monster your portrayed me to be, I am here to do a job to support my family, that’s it. thankyou luke corcione fiancial services manager

Dear Mr. Corcione I feel that as a customer, I am now being made to be a monster, which is ironic, considering I closed my comments by saying "I'm not saying they aren't a good dealership, just saying they handled my purchase of this vehicle very very poorly". However, there are some details that I cannot let go without a response. You told me the bank is giving me free money. Everyone knows that nothing in life is really “free.” Why would I not use the money I had saved for a down payment, regardless of the interest rate, so that my monthly payments are lower? Why wouldn’t I use money I have NOW, so that I don’t have to worry about money I might NOT have later? To try to talk me out of that seems rather unprofessional. You say that you’re working with the Halt Shine company to update their website, which tells me that you have a vested interest in the success of Halt Shine, which might be why you’re pushing it. With such a conflict of interest, I hardly think you should be pushing the product, or selling it at all. Besides, and I’m not the pro here, you are, but isn’t that the job of the salesman? To sell me, or not sell me, warranties, extras, etc? Frankly, if your company makes a fantastic product, I shouldn’t need all the warranties and bells and whistles “just in case." Also, last I checked (5/10/10), you must have done a great job of convincing them to change their website, because nothing has been changed. I also feel that the finance managers and salespeople really should work on their communication skills within the company. If you all worked as a team, then I wouldn’t have been doing all the running around that I had to do. After all the frustration I dealt with, I still had to go home and wash my own brand new car. Forgive me if running around and having to clean my own brand new car left me with a bad feeling about your dealership. I was upset when it happened, but there was no concern on the part of anyone at your dealership. But when I write up a review on a public website, that’s when your dealership shows any concern. Your dealership’s priorities seem a little out of order. And I apologize if your comment about me "putting up a wall as soon as I walked into your office" makes me laugh because I am not trying to date or get to know you. You brought your family up, and that you do this to support your family. I don’t fault you for your job choice, but this is business, not personal. And I feel that you’ve taken this far too personally. If you feel that you’re not in the wrong in any way, then I suppose whatever I write shouldn’t even matter. But if you feel that there may have been missteps on the part of your dealership – salespeople, finance managers, etc – then maybe this will improve the next buyer’s experience. And I hope that’s the case. I also do not want this to turn into a pissing match unless you would like to lose any future business from myself or anyone else. But if that is the case I would be gladly to refer anyone that I talk to, to Ramsey Mazda in NJ or any other dealership, where customer service is a top priority. Respectfully yours, Pete Montanez
