I had leased a 2006 Honda Accord from Honda of Essex and was very unhappy with the experience. In the past, most of my experiences buying a new auto have not been great ones, and when I was going out to purchase a vehicle for my daughter I expected the same type of experience. To my surprise I was fortunate to visit your dealership, although I had previously purchased a vehicle at that location, the dealership was now under new ownership (Paul Miller Honda). I was even more fortunate, getting Louis Gentile as my salesperson. Lou is one of the most knowledgeable and professional salespersons I have met. I felt that Lou’s priority was to make sure both I and my daughter were completely satisfied with the auto we chose. He patiently listened to our questions regarding what we were looking for in a vehicle and as I said before he answered every question without hesitation. Lou was very courteous to my whole family and was genuinely concerned that we were happy. He located the exact vehicle we wanted. Even when we came to pick the car up Lou again went out of his way to be sure we were 100% satisfied and spent as much time as we needed to go over the vehicle with my daughter and to make sure she completely understood how everything worked before driving away with the vehicle. With personnel like Lou I am sure your dealership will thrive, even in the current economy. I will not hesitate to recommend Lou and your dealership to any of my friends or family who mention to me that they are interested in purchasing a new Honda. STAY AWAY!!! Bought a Certified Pre-Owned car for over $20K and turned out it had a busted transmission when I bought it! Sales Manager "Ken" bullied me about credit and was extremely rude and unprofessional. Took 7 HOURS to purchase vehicle! PLAN TO BE THERE ALLLL DAY - they are SLOWER than any other dealer - even my salesperson said he didn't understand why they are so slow at the process. Gave me huge issues about returning busted CPO car, and DID NOT find me the lease car I wanted - just gave me some second-rate thing they had on the lot. NEVER returned my calls. On hold for 20+ minutes each time. TERRIBLE experience, I don't think it can get much worse. Do you need any other reason to go to the better ones like Garden State Honda or DCH??? I totally regret going to Paul Miller. They are a mess. This happened this summer, but I've been meaning to post my thoughts since then. Please please beware. More
Excellent experience from the online quote to picking up the car. Told them I'm a non-nonsense guy and they respected that. Unlike other dealers in NJ, they were able to meet my OTD price without a hassle a the car. Told them I'm a non-nonsense guy and they respected that.
