Went into this dealership not expecting to purchase. I made an appointment w/ Dennis Tibbs and when I walked in he had 4 cars to meet my criteria- both used and new. He offered a test drive...very positive & no pressure knowledgeable and helpful. I bought a New car, Chevrolet Cruze, at a very fair price! (Checked NADA & KBB for this area). Had a great experience w/ the finance person,Tom, and Henry King, the after market person. AGAIN NO Pressure but good product knowledge. My salesperson spent time showing me how to operate all the car features including On Star & syncing w/ phone. I received follow-up calls from the general manager, salesperson & financial guy checking on My satisfaction. I had been to 2 HONDA dealers, a Toyota Hyundai & Kia dealer & was not treated seriously. In all cases I made an appointment & gave them the same criteria I gave Dennis. He was the only one who actually had vehicles ready for me to view....and was fun to work with....my buying experience was enjoyable. I visited the service dept so they could check the heater briefly and they gave me priority treatment. I am VERY Satisfied with Phillips Chevrolet. More
Donna Lee was my sales person and she was not only knowledgable about the product but she was helpful and persistent without being too pushy. She went out of her way to make me happy, get me the model knowledgable about the product but she was helpful and persistent without being too pushy. She went out of her way to make me happy, get me the model and color vechile I wanted by driving out of state when it wasn't available here. I really appreciated that. The sales manager Mike Darge was outstanding. He sets a great example for his employees on how to treat a customer and make them feel special. He went above and beyond to not only make the deal work but to make me feel extremely special on my birthday. After the ink was already dry on the paperwork, he purchased a beautiful birthday cake and he and his staff sung happy birthday to me. It almost brought me to tears. This group of people work so well together and really go out of there way for the customer. I've never experienced that and I've purchesed 2 new vechiles in my life time prior to my purchase with them of a 2014 chevy treverse. I will now only take my business to them. I plan to spread the word to all my friends and family because they treat you like gold. In the customer service industry your only as good as your weakest link, and the owner of Lansing Phillip Chevrolet should hold his head up high and be pride of the team he picked. More

Over the past 4 months, I have referred now FOUR different friends to Phillips, and all have bought for one specific reason – The attention that Mike Darge paid to each, and his relentless attention different friends to Phillips, and all have bought for one specific reason – The attention that Mike Darge paid to each, and his relentless attention to EVERY detail. They said that it was the EASIEST vehicle purchase they had ever experienced, and have all commented (after the fact) they could not believe that Mike also followed up after the sale to check in and make sure all was as they expected. I promised each (in advance of calling Mike) that the process would be simple, fair, and seamless, and that is PRECISELY what he delivered. Let’s face it, the car business, just like mine (the Insurance business) is about relationships. The product (particularly in your business) is exactly the same, whether they buy from Phillips , Smith or Apple… With the advent of the internet, it is all the more commoditized. That is why the effort that Mike puts into everyone he comes across is so critical. I can assure you that each of these clients will go out of their way to go to Mike, and no one else, the next time they have a vehicle need, and of course will tell others of their “pleasantly unexpected” experience. I, of course, and on car number 3 from Mike, and you could not pry me away if you tried. You have a valuable “asset” in Mike, and I thought you should know that MANY have noticed. I had just leased a new car on Wed and went back Thursday afternoon to work out a deal on a new 2014 crew cab pickup. I traded in a 2005 Yukon and the sales crew worked extremely hard to give me a great pric afternoon to work out a deal on a new 2014 crew cab pickup.
