We arrived early and since Barbara had other customers, she grabbed Ken to work with us. We stated our firm limit on price for the Element as well as the hard trade-in value for our two cars. There was n she grabbed Ken to work with us. We stated our firm limit on price for the Element as well as the hard trade-in value for our two cars. There was no haggling, no undercutting our price with more negotiating followed by "Let me check with the manager". If there was any haggling over the price, then it was between Ken and the staff. In addition to the people, the dealership showroom was set up to make the customers welcome. There was plenty of space, the desks weren't crowded together like some dealers only wanting to get as any people in as possible. The waiting area had coffee, tea, and water for sales customers as well as those waiting for service. Overall a wonderfull experience. More
I had been looking at buying another car, preferrably a van,the car that I owned (still own) before I bought the used one through Pohanka Honda has been a great car. So I went to that dealership assuming.. van,the car that I owned (still own) before I bought the used one through Pohanka Honda has been a great car. So I went to that dealership assuming..that they would help me out in getting another car, hoping that they would give me a good deal...you know...owner loyalty type thing. Well. That didn't happen, I felt like I was being put in front of a firing squad with all of the questions and proof of income and whatnot, heck I had to show some pretty personal information that I just was not willing to give. I don't think the FBI asks that many questions. They did not look at what I did as a customer when I previously purchased my car through them. Then a friend suggested calling Bill Hamilton, at Pohanka Honda. So I did, I told him what I had wanted and he said that they had a van, well...at the same time that he told me that, the van was in the process of getting sold. Bill called me later and told me the grave news but said that he had another one that was older and that I should come look at it. At the same time the old dealership that I had bought from previously was also calling me saying that they could help me also.I about went out of my gourd. I felt so overwhelmed that I called Bill and told him forget it and did the same for the other dealership. A little while later, Bill called back and said just come and see what we have, I won't put you into something that you won't like or can't afford. Just come and see me. I took my friend that referred me to Bill and we had a BLAST looking at all of the different cars that were on the lot. Bill looked at all of my options, looked at everything that he had on the lot and found this GMC that someone traded in on a Honda. What a peach, the car not Bill :)~ This vehicle is awesome, it's not a Honda but Bill got me a good, safe car that I can afford. I will definitely come back when things are financially better and get a Honda or another car that he will find for me. From Pohanka Honda. The friendliness that was given to me and the understanding of my needs was a great experience. It is very stressful to buy a car. Just all of the questions and exposure of your life to people that you don't know was most tolerable with the help of the workers at Pohanka Honda. Thanks Bill, Helena and Carol for all of your help. They want to sell a car, but if you have issues they do not want to work with you. I had issues with the ride on my 2010 new car, 4 days old took it into service, "couldn't find anything wrong". I called 3 not want to work with you. I had issues with the ride on my 2010 new car, 4 days old took it into service, "couldn't find anything wrong". I called 3 days later, asked to upgrade tires, they gave me an outrageous price. I recieved a better price from a retail tire dealer. It improved the ride some. I broke the clip that holds the seat release in the trunk, took it by for service, to replace a 50cent part, they can't do it, but we can sale you one. Remember this car is a month old with 1600 miles on it purchased from them. (and the second 2010 vehicle bought from them) I feel cheated. This is my 7th Honda, but I will not purchase from them again. If you have issues with pohanka, contact the Virginia dealer board, I am. More
Came in to purchase a new Ridge Line, they were friendly and courteous. The group price given was the price paid. They were more than happy to work with me on a trade-in and went to extreme lengths to en and courteous. The group price given was the price paid. My husband and I were in the market to purchase another vehicle because of our expanding family. We were greeted by Jay, who has an excellent personality and is very friendly and easy going. He proceeded t vehicle because of our expanding family. We were greeted by Jay, who has an excellent personality and is very friendly and easy going. He proceeded to inquire what it was we wanted and we developed quite a rapport, laughning and having a good time while shopping. I consider car buying pretty stressful but Jay made it an enjoyable, no-pressure experience, so I would and have highly recommended him to my peers that tell me they're in the market. Makis also made himself available to us to provide credentials and incentives to purchase from his dealership. His approach was also low -pressure and we appreciated his taking the time and interest in us. My family has purchased multiple vehicles from pohanka and it is always a good experience. I plan to always consider this dealership first for my vehicle needs. Oh yeah, Jay's the best! Lol More
My husband and I just purchased our third Honda from Bill Hamilton of Pohanka Honda of Fredericksburg-- a 2010 Honda Accord Crosstour. It's an awesome vehicle! We wanted a car but one with 4-wheel drive and this works perfectly for us. It also has lots of cargo space, is comfortable riding long distances and has ample room inside, including head room. We traded our 2005 Honda Odyssey van-- which we are still having withdrawals for it being gone-- but we plan to get another one of these from Bill further down the road. Bill is the BEST salesman we have ever had WITHOUT A DOUBT. He knows his product and he doesn't pressure you into any deal. But we've always left there with a new Honda from him. He's got what it takes! And, Mike Traber, in the Service Department at Pohanka, is wonderful also at making sure all of our vehicles get in and out of service quickly with not much wait time. And to mention the new Pohanka location (I-95 and US 17)-- it is so nice and comfortable. They provide beverages, a play area for your children and a very comfortable waiting room and beautiful showroom. I would highly recommend Pohanka of Fredericksburg if you're looking for a new Honda. Wow, what a personable dealership. They treat you like a friend, not a dollar sign. Bill Hamilton was very professional and friendly. He didn't pressure me and he was willing to stay late on a Sunday until friend, not a dollar sign. Bill Hamilton was very professional and friendly. He didn't pressure me and he was willing to stay late on a Sunday until I contacted him to come back in to purchase a new Honda Civic VP. The car is a graduation gift for my daughter, Katie. I gave it to her early because my Camry was racking up the miles and I was offered a good trade-in by Pohanka. The new car price was very fair and my payments came in a little lower than expected which helped me out tremendously since I am a retired federal employee. Katie was nervous - because she was not an experienced manual transmission driver - but very excited! I don't think her smile ever left her face that day. She has learned to drive the car in two days. Today was her first solo to school - 16 miles from home. She only stalled once, and hey, all manual transmission drivers stall occasionally. I am so proud of her and she is focused on being an emergency or flight nurse after college. The car gets good gas mileage and I feel confident in it's safety and quality reputation. I lose count of the number of really old Civics still on the road. My sisters have owned three Civics themselves. Thanks again for your professionalism Pohanka. It is the first time that I can ever remember that the sales manager and general manager have ever personally thanked me for my purchase. Keep up the great work and you will keep a record number of satisfied customers. --Nancy McCloud More
I recently had the pleasure of doing business with Pohanka Honda while on the market for a new 2010 Honda CR-V. I found Pohanka through the USAA vehicle purchasing service. Pohanka came up on USAA's Pohanka Honda while on the market for a new 2010 Honda CR-V. I found Pohanka through the USAA vehicle purchasing service. Pohanka came up on USAA's search with the absolute BEST Deal in the National Capital Region. After weeks of careful research, I was surprised to find the deal I received at Pohanka Honda. As if the amazingly low price was not enough, the Internet sales staff were miles ahead of the competition when it came to professionalism and friendliness. From the Internet representative, Mr Aaron Sanders, who kindly and promptly answered our initial inquiry online, to Tony Camper from sales who displayed the highest levels of professionalism while executing our negotiations. Needless to say, my wife and I were truly impressed. If you live in the DC region, give this dealership a chance before you buy a new or used vehicle. You might think that the drive from DC is relatively long but you will rewarded with hundreds if not thousands of dollars in savings. Top those savings off with the absence of insincere gimmicks along with a full tank of gas and you really will be glad you made the drive to beautiful Fredericksburg Virginia. As far as the 2010 Honda CR-V I just purchased last Saturday, my wife and I LOVE IT! Thanks Tony!! You guys are the best and just made some new friends. Cheers! More
I used a no haggle buying service through work Pohanka had a great price and they were the first to contact me. Joey was great, he found me the Pilot I wanted. The entire process from test drive to delive had a great price and they were the first to contact me. Joey was great, he found me the Pilot I wanted. The entire process from test drive to delivery was 3 hours. The true test of a dealer is after delivery I have 2 accessory options getting added this week. I bought the car on Saturday Joey already call me to check in and discuss the open items….its Monday. The sign of a great dealer is ongoing service. I was a litter concerned using the buying service and how I would be treated, I went a little out of my way to Pohanka and I am very glad I did. More
Drove from New York to purchase my 2010 CRV and found the experience to be most rewarding. From the very start of my correspondence with tony, via the internet and subsequent phone conversations, I found him experience to be most rewarding. From the very start of my correspondence with tony, via the internet and subsequent phone conversations, I found him to be professional, friendly, knowledgeable and most helpful in locating a 2010 CRV with my specific requirements. Upon arrival, I was met my friendly personnel offering their help and direction. As I met Tony, he immediately made my wife and I feel right at home, brought us to the vehicle we ordered, with options, and turned us loose.I found that Tony had attended to every detail of my order and any additional apprehensions I had about buying a vehicle "sight unseen", 300 miles away. We reviewed all the manuals and corresponding controls with Tony inside the CRV so as to introduce us to the world of technological and computerized controls (something very new to me as my previous vehicle had dials and gauges). The subsequent purchase details went without a hitch and we were on our way in almost no time at all. Tony conducted himself exemplary as a gentleman and a salesman; he is a credit to Pohanka Honda and to entire Honda industry. Thank you Tony. More
