My Review of Port Charlotte Honda:
We told the salespeople our credit was really bad due to a home foreclosure. We walked out with a NEW Civic and were told we were approved. One week later we are called by the dealership and told they were unable to obtain financing and we HAD to bring the car back or they would tow it from us. Two hours before we agreed to bring it back they called and said they got financing but we paid over 2% more interest and it raised our payments considerably. We had one business day to obtain financing on our own. After this happened we have met 5 other people which had the SAME experience. Of course we kept the vehicle but the moral to this story is READ the fine print on the back of the installment agreement. It appears the dealership can take the vehicle if they are unable to obtain your financing. I believe it also states that if you put a certain amount of miles on it they can charge a fee per mile. NO ONE told us this when we signed the papers nor did they even point out the back page of the agreement. This varies by states, but watch your back in FLORIDA. Service is yet to be determined. The salesman we had was very polite however and we felt he was sincere but it was mostly beyond his control once it went to the finance manager.

My Review of Port Charlotte Honda:
When I went to Charlotte Honda to look for a car. I 1st meet their sales man Raulph..to make a long story short. He ended up being very RUDE and DISRESPECTFUL to me.he also lie to me about how much interest I was paying on my current auto loan. and when I found the same car for less money 16990 was the price they where asking..I found it for 13864 at another local deal.his comment to me was that HE DID NOT WORK FOR FREE and hung up on me for the 2nd time ..2 days later after I steamed about it I called and ask to speak to the person in charge of the salesman..I cant remeber his name but he said that he would speak to this salesman and ask if I would come back ASAP and he would match the price I found at the other dealer.
SO I go back on a Friday night at 7pm..I walk in the door and they had all the papers already made out and told me to sign here.. They gave me the car and said it was a DONE DEAL. and they would have me come back Tuesday in the AM to finish up...SO I go home and look over the paper work and come to find out if was for MORE that 5000 than we agree to..when I called the next day I was told by the Head Finance guy that it was because my truck was UPSIDEDOWN by 5000..I told him he was nuts and that I did not want this car at that price and I was bring it back..well after about 6 phone calls that day..a price was reach and that was the amount they where going to run my credit on.

The very 1st thing I did when I went there I had ask that MY CREDIT be ran thru 1 certain loan company, because I already had very very good standing with this compnany and was told in advance they would appove me

Come Tuesday morning I get a phone call from Charlotte, telling me that they could not get me approved..(that should of been my 1st clue as to what happen next) SO i took the car back to get my truck back and came home and called my loan company and ask them why they did not approve me.they told me there was NO inquires sent to them for a loan..

well about 3 weeks go by and I start to get all these letters in the mail for more than 15 loan companies some of them I got more than 1 letter which means more than 1 request was sent to them.

Now its 2 months later and I have all the letters, which I match to my credit reports that I order from all 3 bureau's.I have since contacted the 3 credit bureau and the only thing they can to for me was put a NOTE on my reports saying that I did not authorize all these inquires( which I did in writing). I was also told to contact each and everyone of these loan companies and request they remove the inquires from my reports (which I did)..I have also contacted the STATE ATTONREY GENERAL office..and going to contact the BBB and
Bureau of Consumer Affairs and the Department of Corporations of Florida.


MY CREDIT SCORE DROP DRAMATICALLY BECAUSE OF CHARLOTTE HONDA SO BY THE TIME THEY DID SEND IT TO MY LOAN COMPANY THEY COULD NOT APPROVE ME EITHER

The sales staff is extremely friendly. My car was a graduation gift purchased by my parents, however the choices for it were made by me. Instead of speaking to them, they took the time to answer my questions. They were quick to return my phone calls and very helpful in person.

My Review of Port Charlotte Honda:
My husband and I were in to look for a vehicle, we were told to bring in some paperwork on a Thursday evening, the salesman was too busy with another couple to barely even speak a few words to us. The salesman then told us we wouldn't know anything until Friday anyway, so we should just go home, and he would call us mid-morning on Friday. Finally, Friday afternoon, my husband calls for the salesman (Joe), Joe then informed him, that he only had one finance company that would consider us, and then tried to push us to buy a used vehicle, which my husband tried to make it clear to him..WE DID NOT WANT! Long story short, Joe ended the conversation by telling my husband that he was "a F****** IDIOT". We are completely disgusted with the whole experience and would never reccommend this dealership to anyone! Yet, we still keep receiving e-mails telling us that they can help us...NO THANKS!!
