My Review of Portland Volvo:
I walked into Portland Volvo this week with the intent of either buying new, used or no Volvo at all; I wasn't fully sure I needed a new car since my '98 Volvo was running just fine. I was welcomed by Kate and a very friendly staff at Portland Volvo. I looked a few preowned, drove one and liked it. I went home to ponder buying it, when I started crunching numbers and looking at all the incentives Volvo was offering it seemed to make sense to buy new. So I went back over and looked at the same model but brand new, Kate and Tom, the a sales manager made me a great offer on my trade in and a new car. I was a little uncomfortable with the size of the car both inside and out. When I mentioned to them that I was unsure and that buying new was not imperative they came up with some great options of preowned in a different model and in my price range. We made a deal in less then a half hour. I assume it would have behooved them both to sell me a new car over a preowned but I never felt any pressure from either of them. It was evident that my being happy and comfortable was of the utmost concern to them.I will from here on out rely on Portland Volvo for all my Volvo needs.

My Review of Portland Volvo:
While I didn't buy a Volvo this time, I traded in my 11 year old S70 and all of my service was done at Portland Volvo.

While I was considering my next purchase I met with Kate to test drive used Volvos. She had the history of each car at hand. She is a woman with lots of energy and a good sense of humor. I would recommend her without any hesitation. Thanks, Kate.

My Review of Portland Volvo:
A few months ago I went into Portland Volvo to check out leasing prices. At the time, the cars that were available were out of my budget, and I ended up leaving empty-handed. However, when things changed, I remembered how welcome Ralph made me feel the first time I went in, and so I went back. I am not the easiest customer to deal with.. I have four kids and very little time for small talk. Ralph moved at my pace and rolled with the punches with a smile on his face, (even when I had to nurse the baby in the waiting room..not always the most comfortable for other people, esp. men!). He made me completely at ease, as did the the Sales Manager. I ended up leaving with a beautiful used Volvo ,(that I can put all my kids in!), equipped with new brakes the whole way round! I love my car and I love the way that I didn't feel judged for not having a lot of cash to spend when I came in. Thanks a million Ralph!

My Review of Portland Volvo:
We had visited a few dealerships when looking for our XC90. We found what we were looking for on the Portland Volvo website and it prompted us to make an appt to visit them. We were greeted by an extremely friendly and helpful staff and felt comfortable immediately. The quality of the vehicle was superb, the facility was immaculate, the staff was so friendly - every single person said hello or picked up conversation with us. And, because we have young children, the fact that there is a room that is equipped with toys, juice boxes, etc. was so helpful. And everyone was so willing to assist us with them - in keeping them occupied, so that we could spend the appopriate amount of time looking at the vehicle etc. The girl Kate at the front desk spent a ton of time playng with our daughter. And Kate, our salesperson, was so nice and patient and helpful. We were thrilled. We had such a great experience. I would highly recommend this dealership and Kate MacDiarmid!

I would highly recommend this dealership to any one who might be interested to purchasing either a new or used Volvo. The professionalism, attention to detail and making you feel as those they really wanted your business rather than you being just a number was evident the minute my wife and I walked thru the showroom door. We had dealt with them on a limited basis before and where impressed then, which is why we made our trip to Portland Maine this time, a 330 mile round trip, to deal with this dealership. You will not be disappointed

Recently purchased a Volvo station wagon from this dealership, and have to say that it was a most satisfying experience. From viewing the cars I was interested in on-line to having our salesman introduce us to the Volvo brand, I was very pleased. This dealership literally makes you feel as though you are now family!

Ralph was great to deal with. Everyone at the dealership is very friendly and helpful. Ralph and his team worked to get us the car we wanted and it was in brand new condition when we picked it up. They added in the extras we asked for and the whole transaction was very smooth. Tell Lou the Switchback was great!

My Review of Portland Volvo:
I had been looking for a Saab and had planned to travel to Boston to look at a few vehicles I had found on the internet. On my way to the Boston area, I decided to visit Kate MacDiarmid - a personal friend - while in Portland. During my initial visit, she showed me around but as I was intent on buying a Saab I didn't pay too much attention to vehicles on the lot. Kate suggested I look at a vehicle at Portland Saab as it was in the general category that I was considering. It turned out that the vehicle at Portland Saab did not meet my criteria. Fortunately, Kate knew what I was looking for - as she had asked questions about why I was replacing my "old" vehicle, what I needed in my "new" vehicle, and what my price range was. She reminded me of a vehicle that we had looked at earlier - that I had passed over - that she knew met all of my criteria - even though I didn't! Fortunately I took her advice, drove the car, and after a short conversation with the sales manager - made a deal that I'm very happy with. I love the car and its exactly what I needed - thanks to Kate!

Peter Boroyan was fantastic. We purchased a Volvo XC90 from Peter. He was very informative and friendly. He gave us time to think and was never aggressive in pushing us in making a decsion. He was always avaliable and we felt very comfotable of his knowledge of the vehicle. We love our new car. Thanks Peter. My Review of Portland Volvo:
I live in New canaan CT 293 miles (one way) from Portland Volvo but my sales visits take me frequently to Maine. I drive 60,000 miles per year and since 1992 have driven Volvo's, 11 of them, the last 9 from Portland Volvo. Over a 50 year sales career I have driven and been serviced by dozens of dealers and makes of cars. Volvo is unquestionably the very best of all of them but more importantly, Peter Boroyan, and his legion of supporters (associates)at Portland Volvo are truly extraordinary in what they do. My business would flounder if I ever lost sight of the value and needs of my customers. many automobile companies and agencies are currently doing so - but not Portland Volvo. Peter and Lou worked harder to retain my business on this sale then on my first with them 15 years ago. Mark and his service group are so good and such professionals that I also drive my wife's V-40 and my sons C-90 the 600 miles up to Portland for servicing as well. To further illustrate my point I should note that two of my son's and one of my brothers have bought Portland Volvo's I was turning in for new ones. In recent years brand loyalty seems to have lost it's impact, price and surfing the interent is what is important. I say, balderdash, in my business its quality , a fair price , service, service and service - and that is what will always keep bringing me back up to Portland Volvo. They are , indeed, the finest, the very best!
