Mr. Ferris, As stated by you - you bought a great car! In fact, it was sold to you meeting all required legal standards in the state of CT as well as a complimentary 6 month/6,000 mile powertrain warranty that we include on the majority of our used cars for customers peace of mind. When we spoke 48 hours after you took delivery of the vehicle you had not yet had the vehicle inspected, you had a friend look at it for you. We asked that you please have it inspected and bring the inspection report with you to your appointment on this past Tuesday. We did discuss that we do not remove tints from the rear windows when they have defrosters - this is a steadfast policy due to the high likelihood of the defroster becoming damaged. There was no further discussion with you and you never produced the state inspection. To clarify, I do not believe per the State of MA motor vehicles that there were any other issues in your inspection. This small issue could have been easily resolved but unfortunately that is not the route that you chose with us but we take pride in our used vehicles and our employees and I am sorry that you felt that this was the best route to take but I wish you well with your vehicle. Dear Mr. Young/ We truly disagree with this unfair and completely one - sided assessment of this matter. The vehicle you purchased from our dealership exceeded all safety standards as set forth by the State of Connecticut. You executed your acknowledgement of this in the documents provided to you at the sale. As you also know, in accordance with the laws of the State of Connecticut - this vehicle was sold as-is. You purchased an extended service agreement on the vehicle. From the time of delivery, until the last time you had your car at our dealership, you placed more than 5,000 on this vehicle, as well as completed numerous aftermarket installations. Our dealership, notwithstanding the "as is" nature of the sale, attempted to assist you by addressing issues with your vehicle - that you brought to our attention - without charge. You also brought this vehicle to an authorized Toyota dealership, as well as an aftermarket tire store. Our company returned every phone call and, we returned your letter promptly and without question. We also processed the cancellation of the warranty you had purchased promptly for you. At no time did our company ever - ever - encourage you not to pursue this in a matter you desired. We have only reiterated that, should you continue pursuit of this matter, we will absolutely present the facts in this matter to other parties. For more than 15 years, the Premier Auto Group has exceeded the expectations of customers throughout the State of Connecticut. We have an exemplary reputation for working with customers and helping them whenever possible. Your comments are truly unfair and we shall let a third party make the decision at this point.
