In October 2025, we purchased a used Lexus RX 350 from BMW of San Antonio for approximately $36,000. During the buying process, I repeatedly raised concerns about the condition of the tires and specifically asked that they be replaced before purchase. Both the salesperson and management assured us multiple times that the tires were safe and would last another year. In March 2026, while driving on the highway, we experienced a severe tire blowout, resulting in a dangerous situation that required roadside assistance. Afterward, we were advised that all four tires needed immediate replacement for safety reasons. This incident directly contradicted the assurances we were given at the time of sale. Because the tire condition was clearly raised and dismissed prior to purchase, this situation feels avoidable and negligent. Safety-related concerns should never be minimized—especially on a used vehicle sold by a premium dealership. Due to this experience, I cannot recommend BMW of San Antonio’s used car sales practices. Future buyers should independently verify safety items such as tires rather than relying solely on dealership assurances.
