I was having some difficulty with the electrical system on my 2024 X5 and called Principle BMW early in the day. The service rep. Told me to bring it in at my convenience, which I did. They very shortly th on my 2024 X5 and called Principle BMW early in the day. The service rep. Told me to bring it in at my convenience, which I did. They very shortly thereafter ran diagnostic tests to find it was a “sick” battery which they replaced immediately and got me out by lunchtime. All the while I was kept informed of their progress. As it was still under warranty, I drove out with a nicely washed car and a smile on my face knowing my car was once again safe to drive. More

I am writing this review to document a very disappointing and unsafe experience with BMW of San Antonio related to the purchase of a used Lexus RX 350 in October 2025. At the time of purchase, I raised seri and unsafe experience with BMW of San Antonio related to the purchase of a used Lexus RX 350 in October 2025. At the time of purchase, I raised serious concerns multiple times about the condition of the tires on the vehicle. I specifically asked—more than once—that the tires be replaced prior to finalizing the sale. Both the salesperson and dealership management repeatedly assured me that the tires were safe, met standards, and would “last at least another year.” Based on these assurances, we proceeded with a purchase of approximately $36,000. Unfortunately, those assurances proved to be completely inaccurate. In March 2026, while driving on the highway, we experienced a severe tire blowout, creating a dangerous situation that required roadside assistance. Following the incident, we were advised that all four tires needed to be replaced immediately for safety reasons. This directly contradicted everything we were told at the time of sale. What is most frustrating—and concerning—is that this situation was entirely preventable. The condition of the tires was raised before purchase, and we relied on the dealership’s expertise and honesty. Being told that unsafe tires were “fine” feels, at best, negligent—and at worst, intentionally misleading in order to save the dealership money on a used vehicle sale. I expect transparency, especially from a dealership representing a premium brand. Instead, we were left dealing with unnecessary stress, unexpected costs, and a serious safety risk for something we explicitly asked to be addressed. Because of this experience, I cannot recommend BMW of San Antonio, particularly when it comes to used vehicle sales and representations around safety-related items. Buyers should independently verify critical components like tires and not rely solely on verbal assurances from sales staff or management. More
