I bought a Ford F-250 from Planet Ford in Humble. The day I got it home the check engine light came on, so I took it back in for service. Once I finally got it back I drove it for two days and the check engine light came on again for a leak due to improper installation of the fuel pump. I went back to the service department and asked if I could schedule an appointment so that I would not have to leave my truck for two weeks, for a fix that would take 30 minutes. Tim, at the service department said there’s nothing he could do and that I would just have to spend another $600 on a rental. One of the other service managers stepped in and said he would give me the next available loaner vehicle and that it would be 1-2 weeks before one was available. It has currently been 8 weeks and I have not even received a phone call. More

I recently had a very disappointing experience with your service department that I feel compelled to share. I dropped off my vehicle early Monday morning, and Jose checked it in. I clearly communicated that I’d be leaving it for the full day and expected a status update by that evening. Unfortunately, I received no call. The next morning (Tuesday), I called for an update and was told by Jose that the mechanic hadn’t found anything wrong with the steering, but they were still looking into it. Once again, I heard nothing further that day, so I called around 5:00 PM. I told Jose that if the work couldn’t be completed, I would just come pick up my vehicle. He then told me it would be ready the following day (Wednesday). I waited the entire day Wednesday without receiving any updates. When I called again, I told Jose I needed my SUV back regardless of the status. He said it was ready for pickup. When I arrived, I was shocked to learn that in three full days, no meaningful work had been done. The vehicle had simply been parked. The battery junction box was not replaced, and the recall-related reprogramming wasn’t completed—despite this being a relatively quick software update. This experience was frustrating and disappointing, especially considering I own three Ford vehicles. Communication was poor, expectations were mismanaged, and ultimately, nothing was resolved. I’m now left questioning the reliability of this service department and am hesitant to return—unless it's for a warranty-covered issue I can’t avoid. I hope this feedback prompts a serious review of your customer service processes. More
