In response to this customer, Randy Peterson states: The customer did have 2 problems that didn't work correctly with her vehicle. The 2 problems still needed to be diagnosed to determine if her extended service contract covered them. Our service advisor told her their was a $100.00 deductable or diagnoses charge and the Repair Order states PRELIMINARY ESTIMATE OF $100.00, and had her sign the R.O. As a service to our customers in addition to diagnosing their concerns, we perform a free vehicle inspection to advise them of any needed repairs their vehicle may need. My technician and service advisor didn't lie about their findings, they only advised them and it's up to the customer to decide if they want anything repaired. My only conversation with the customer is when she came in to pick up her vehicle and started a disturbance with my service staff. The customer called the police and went outside. When the N. Aurora police came inside they asked if I could do anything to resolve the dispute. I offered to split the service bill and after the officers talked to the customer, they came back insided and said the customer agreed to a 50/50 split. The customer came inside shortly thereafter and paid their service bill. Due to this agreement, we have already met the customer halfway and don't feel any further assistance is due. Thank you.
