If you want verbal abuse, this is the place to go!
The sales rep I worked with was polite, courteous and knowledgeable. However, when she offered to get a car for me more in line for what I was looking for, I specifically said several times that I was not prepared to make a commitment, even though I was willing to put $500 on my credit card as an indication of my good faith as long as it was refundable. I was assured there was 'no problem'; that the dealership "needs another demo car", and the receipt for $500 was clearly marked 'refundable'.
However, when I went to the dealership to effect the refund, Nick, who said he was the Manager, was extremely verbally abusive to me. Specifically he called me "a stupid xxxxx" and told me that he would process my refund and then "you can get your xxx out of my showroom". He called me stupid because I should have known he was going to buy a car for $22,000 based on my deposit, when nothing of the sort had even been discussed and I had no way to know he was buying a $22,000 car.
When I said I thought perhaps he was stupid for buying a $22,000 car without having anything from me to indicate that I was definitely buying it, he said "I don't give a f**k what you think". He repeated several times that I should never come back to the showroom, and I assured him he had no need to worry on that score.
To put it mildly, I was very deeply shocked; frankly I have never been spoken to in such a coarse, discourteous manner by anyone over a working lifetime, and I cannot think of any situation which would warrant this kind of behavior or verbal abuse.
