Gasoline Leak Fuel pump had a leak on top of the fuel tank. The technician diagnosed every possible cause of why gas fumes were smelled around the car. No visible Fuel pump had a leak on top of the fuel tank. The technician diagnosed every possible cause of why gas fumes were smelled around the car. No visible signs of leakage. He determined it was coming from the fuel pump and recommended tank removal. A huge job on my model. After removal it was obvious that the pump was leaking and raw gasoline was pooling in the fuel pump well. Jake worked with Steve the Service Manager to help with the cost. Very pleased with the service and personal attention given to my problem. Thanks for everything. More

New Car Service (6500 miles) I filled in Sands Chevrolet Service request online about a week in advance for Tuesday, 27 June 2017. The appointment time was for 7 am. Upon arriva I filled in Sands Chevrolet Service request online about a week in advance for Tuesday, 27 June 2017. The appointment time was for 7 am. Upon arrival, the service representative greeted me. I indicated that I had an appointment through the Sands Service web interface. He looked it up and told me that there was no record of this appointment. He also told me that he has had nothing but problems with this method of making an appointment and that it was a royal pain in the a..... ... this was the second time that this stupid method had failed me ... so ... I had no appointment!!!! So much for your website, Sands Chevrolet. Then, when he checked the mileage, the service rep indicated that it was too soon to change my oil. He indicated that I should wait for at least 5000 miles between oil changes. This was in direct contradiction to what your service rep management told me ... specifically, Corvettes need to have their oil changed every 3000 miles due to the dust in the air and the nature of the vehicle (.e.g. Corvette). I thought you had corvette specialists at your service center ... I am beginning to wonder now if anyone there knows what they are talking about ... Freeway Chevrolet runs circles around you and I am considering going back to them !!! Third, it seemed to me that the service rep was in a hurry to get me through ... I asked him if he could do a hand wash ... he said ... maybe if I have enough young staff to do it ... when I picked up my vehicle, he mumbled something like, I owe you a car wash ... The bottom line is that I am not happy at all with your service department ... especially after buying a $100K vehicle and then receiving the above crap !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! As an addendum, please rest assured that Blair Wiles and Natalie Konietzka had nothing to do with the above discrepancies ... I put their names on this review as I know it would get their attention and maybe, just maybe, something would get done ... More
