My Review Of Serra Toyota:
Very bad experience here this past weekend. Went to purchase a used vehicle and trade in a car. After coming in , and talking over prices with the salesman, he went back to his manager as they always do, while we are sitting anxiously for him, he stops on his way back to us and talks with a friend for a good amount of time. Once he came in, he wasnt a very talkative person, he would ignore your questions, and keep you on the track he wanted you on. He showed us the most expensive vehicle we looked at out of three others, and after driving it, which i loved it, I wanted to see others. As he walked in front of me I said "what about the others we want to see?" do you have those? a black one? a malibu? and he ignored me and just said uh i dont think so....So we go inside thinking hes going to see what they have, and he comes up to us with paperwork on what we can get for the car we just saw (the only car he would show us)...it was really strange, he just said very little and didnt answer any questions and just kept doing what he wanted us to do....So he shows us an outrageous deal, saying because my husband works for family (which is information we disclosed to them) he had to see about financing where you dont verify your employement, while my husband had his pay stubs ready to go...he said no one wants to do a loan with someone who works for family...which is weird since we just bought a house right? the payemtn said 500.00 A MONTH! on a 18,000 car with a trade in!!! which had 3500.00 left to pay and they said it was only worth 1000 which was insane also....So my husband is looking for the interest rate on this piece of paper, which there isnt one, he says as a joke "what is this over 20%?" and the sales man says ya it is....We were in shock!!! My huband has a great credit score and a great job. we were insulted....that he thought he would get away with that? So then he had the manager test drive my car, he was out for a while, cameback and said 1000.00 needless to say we said forget this you guys are nuts, and got in my car to leave. Not five seconds in my car, and I cant even drive it...It is wrecked!!! The car wont move over 35!!!! I was hysterical! How could they do this? Why would they do this? So they had already closed as we tried to call them over and over with no answer... Then we had to leave the car and drive an hour home without it. We called the next morning, the manager claimed the car was already messed up, which is false since i drive an hour everyday with no problem....So when i drove the car the next morning it seemed fine again, he had beat the car to the core driving it, and the transmission had burned....So when I tried to drive it wouldnt allow it to so it wouldnt overheat, and by morning it had cooled off. This should neve rhappen. You dont beat someones car they are trading in....Needless to say they were extremely rude, not caring about what you need or want, they ignore you, they dont bargain, the price was 17500 online....they tried to say it was 20,000......it was really sad, so we sai dwe are going next door to CHEVY SERRA, the salesman said "man youll come running back here" well we didnt. We left with a car within two hours, with a loan they financed with a 7% interest rate, and 18,000 on a 2012 chevy malibu! It was insane the kind or service difference in two places under the same people. Chevy said it didnt matter that he worked for family! thats insane! and they asked us what we could do and they did it for us. It was the best day of my life with them from the worst with toyota. I feel really bad for hardworking people that get taken advantage of by serra toyota, just go next door before you make a decision. Garunteed they will giveyou what you need. Stay away from Toyota. Worst expereince of my life!
