After having my Lincoln for three full days, (despite the fact that I had an early morning appt. on day one, on day 3 I was told that they weren't sure they could even get to it on day 4. I demanded that they return my car tomorrow morning since they were near closing today and will be seeking legal compensation for lying to me and holding my vehicle for 4 days, knowing they could not get to repair in in a reasonably timely manner. I would leave no stars if that was an option. More
I have been a loyal customer to Shakers Family Ford for over 20 years. Unfortunately I write this review in disgust. What should have been an insignificant service experience turned into yet another fiasc over 20 years. Unfortunately I write this review in disgust. What should have been an insignificant service experience turned into yet another fiasco. My vehicle had developed an annoying creak in the head liner above the driver. In knowing how difficult it could be to duplicate and identify noises I preemptively video recorded not only the noise but EXACTLY how to duplicate it, this was CLEARY noted on the night drop form. At the end of the first day I received a call from Mark (who made it clear he was inconvenienced by speaking to me) informing me that they could not duplicate the noise. I again informed him that the noise could be replicated consistently and easily and that I in fact had a video of it. Mark acknowledged that he was aware of the video but refused to allow me to send it. At the end of the SECOND DAY I had to contact Mark at which time he AGAIN stated they could not duplicate the noise. Only after expressing my dissatisfaction with this did he allow me to share the video. After the third and final day I was told by Mark "the noise is normal." The noise only recently presented itself after nearly two years of ownership. It is NOT normal. I shouldn't have had to fix it myself. I attempted to contact the Service Manager on multiple occasions, despite leaving messages I never even received a call back. Unless you want to be completely disregarded as a customer, do yourself a favor and steer clear of this place. It is nothing but grief and aggravation for poor service. More

They're playing bait and switch games listing vehicles that they don't have for sold before they put them on the Internet I put an offer in over 11 days ago so a vehicle was told that the vehicle was bein that they don't have for sold before they put them on the Internet I put an offer in over 11 days ago so a vehicle was told that the vehicle was being serviced and was told by the salesman instead it'll be by the weekend I got a call on Friday and they told me to still wasn't ready I checked the website the car was listed it already had everything set up for our financing can I check some reviews other people have been through the same situation disappointed in this whole thing karma will come back to this and people doing this to other people always stop at the Shaker family at a high esteem but not totally disappointed and I'm ready doing business I'm pretty sure there are others that can relate to the same situation More
We first met Shaker Sales Manager Salvatore Catalano back in June 2021 during the purchase of my girlfriend's 2020 Ford Edge which she and I are very happy with. One year later, coming back in with our first in June 2021 during the purchase of my girlfriend's 2020 Ford Edge which she and I are very happy with. One year later, coming back in with our first Ford Edge service I again encountered Sal. We had a wonderful and very enjoyable conversation while I was waiting for the oil change. We discussed Shaker's core value system of operating with integrity, providing excellent service before, during and after the vehicle sale and operating with absolute transparency, as their motto states, during the sales process, this is precisely what we have witnessed over the last year. I mentioned to Sal my upcoming pickup truck needs for my new new career and for use in maintaining our Southbury property. While there, Sal introduced me to one of their sales representatives Tyler Mei. Tyler and I had a pleasant and brief discussion about my upcoming vehicle needs, budget and timeline to acquire the new truck, I explained I needed a week or so to do a bit more research and allow time to finalize my new job offer. We exchanged information and agreed to follow-up with one another in a weeks' time. During the week I was never pressured, over contacted or over sold, I was never made to feel uncomfortable or uneasy in anyway dealing with Tylor. I enjoyed working with Tyler a great deal, he was very kind pleasant, personable, cordial and very knowledgeable about the vehicle options that existed in Shakers inventory. We agreed to meet one afternoon on April 7th for a test drive of a 2019 F-150 XLT Sport CrewCab pickup that he found and thought it would be a good fit for what I needed. We had a blast on the drive, had fun, had some good laughs and I ended up falling in love with the truck and put a deposit down right after we got back to hold it until I lined up the financing. That's when I encountered finance manager Chris Arena, Chris was super helpful ensuring the vehicle would be held allowing ample time to get all my financing affairs in place. And like Sal and Tyler, Chris followed the same core Shaker principals of leading with excellent communication, no-haggle pricing discussions, and overall no stress vehicle transaction. During the week I lined up my loan closing, new insurance and final pricing after speaking with Chris, who explained in detail all extended warranty options. I told Chris I would like the bottom line price to also include Shakers Platinum, zero deductible warranty and that I would be coming on April 14th at 2 PM right after my loan closing with my check and to close on the truck. On the 14th I first met Tyler, we did a final walk through of the vehicle which was professionally detailed and made ready to take home that day and also prepared the plates once Chris registered the truck. The closing process with Chris was super smooth and very friendly and efficient, we had the process wrapped up in less than 20 mins. Chris made me feel that my new business was highly valued and greatly appreciated. Tyler was great all the way through, because I now had 2 vehicles at their shop and I was the only driver that day, Tyler offered to drive my new truck back to Southbury following me with one of his colleagues who trailed in an escort vehicle so Tyler could get a ride back, these guys went above and beyond to solve my vehicle delivery. I couldn't be more happy with our second vehicle purchase as I am today, I would highly recommend Shaker and their award winning team to assist you with your next vehicle purchase as well. On your next visit be sure to ask for Sal and Tyler, they will provide you with the same exemplary service we experienced. I didn't end up getting my Ford with Shaker after all because I found a better price on a car with less miles aling with way better financing with another dealership out of town. I did however give them a go with service. They have a great appearance on the surface!! This is my experience with the service end of Shaker. 1) brought car in for an issue with a rattle in door and when I was there I mentioned that I had moisture in one rear headlight . I was told " that's quite common with a few models " and they didn't document my concern apparently, when I picked up the car nothing more was mentioned about the moisture. 2) car was in again for another service and I didn't mention the light again because I didn't have an operating issue with light at the time, little did I know something was indeed festering and I trusted what was said about it being common but not a worry. 3) back light that I had mentioned to service person back on my first time in failed along with an inch of water in casing so I brought the car in....I was told it's close to 600.00 dollars and WE ARE so sorry car in outside of warranty. What????? So something that was waved off on my first visit with Shaker was now an issue that is no longer covered???? HMMM this is where Shaker is shady and they make it the customers word against theirs with saying they are sorry in-between after something avoidable became a burden to me . Shaker was sweet as pie when they collected from Ford under warranty. The minute they let me down and didn't look into something that I verbally communicated with them is the downfall and horrible customer service. They where willing to charge me full price for a mistake they made with just a " sorry" So Sara Okeno who neglected to call me the day after my car was dropped off...I had to contact Sevice and ask the outcome... and her boss service Manager Steve who was unavailable because he had an appointment outside of work. Surely let down a customer in a few ways. My advice to you is to visit the new Subaru coming into Watertown soon and get a Car that is more reliable all around with a Service team that understands the value of a decent Customer. They have lost my business and that of anyone I know. More
