Worst car buying experience ever. Walked in was handed a key by Greg Rietz. Took the car for a spin and really liked it. Walked in gave the key back to him and his first comment was " Thanks for coming in" and that was it. No, what did you think of the car, would you like to purchase, etc. I was told he was their top salesman and I guess he didn't think I was worth his time. When I finally convinced him we were interested in the car and tried to negotiate $400 off the price he said there was a part missing and he didn't know how much that was so he couldn't negotiate the price until he knew the part cost. ( great liner in not wanting to negotiate price). He told me he would call me back next day. Call never came, next day I called back and off course the part was $1200 and there was no room for negotiating. Was told part was coming in two days and it would take a couple of hours to put the part in. Part kept getting delayed, purchase dept sent me purchase order via text. No call explaining what all the fees were. Info on purchase agreement was incorrect had to call to make correction. Very unprofessional. Week and a half later still no part and when I went to check the price on the car online it had a PRICE drop $2,900. This pretty much put the icing on the cake. Drove down and Greg met me at door. Set down upset about the entire process. He was very defensive and said " Do you want your deposit back". Pretty much a slap in the face...I'm done dealing with you and can sell this car to someone else. I talked to General Manager, he told me the price drop was a glitch in the system. Another week went by and still no car. Walked in and requested deposit back and will NEVER step foot in this dealership again. Horrible customer service from beginning to end. Felt like I was just a number and maybe he already met his quote for the month and didn't have time for my business. More

My CRV was in for a faulty air conditioner on June 10. I was told by Craig Mettler the part was on emergency backorder and they would call me. Have left 2 voice messsages on his cell number and no calls ba was told by Craig Mettler the part was on emergency backorder and they would call me. Have left 2 voice messsages on his cell number and no calls back. I called Zimmerman Honda and they had the part, scheduled me for installation, and did not charge me even though it was out of warranty. They had replaced 3 bad discharge hoses that week. Today is June 28 and the car is fixed free and working great because of Zimmerman Honda. Also, Craig quoted me well over $1100 to fix it even though it was only 3 months out of warranty. Lesson learned. Also, my husband has a 2019 CRV so they lost 2 customers. Plus I have a story to tell to anyone owning a Honda looking for servicing! More
kay so we just had a horrible experience at Smart Honda this week. We approached the dealership to buy back a vehicle we bought from them less than two years ago. They gave us a quote, we agreed and they t this week. We approached the dealership to buy back a vehicle we bought from them less than two years ago. They gave us a quote, we agreed and they took our keys and loan paperwork and kept it with them. Then they said they cannot process the final signature that day since their computers were down and asked us to come and sign the final paper today while they finalized everything on their end in the meantime. When we did not get a call from them after the weekend, we called in to get an update. It was then that we were treated completely insultingly. The person on the phone said very rudely that our car was just lying at the dealership and they had no intentions to purchase the vehicle. They refused to acknowledge that multiple agents at the dealership had given us the same estimate and committed to the transaction just one day ago. When we visited the center right after they had the unprofessionalism to say that they gave us an wrong estimate and they can compensate us for the trouble we went through by filling our tank with gas!! We could see very clearly that they were lying through their teeth and refused to admit any conversations that we had in the 3 trips we made to the center last week and the multiple phone calls with the agents we had regarding the transaction. We just want to say that please do not treat us customers as fools. We know you are lying and being completely unprofessional. At least have the decency and the transparency to say truthfully that you cannot make the transaction. We customers are not at your mercy that you will talk to us and treat us like we are stupid and have not done our research. We are very saddened and disappointed with this unexpected behavior and just sad that the only Honda in the Iowa side of Quad Cities are exploiting customers in this manner. More

If you want to buy a Honda, go see Julie Young. She is great. She truly cares about what you will be happy with, including the car and your financial situation. She does not push you at all. Thankful for all of my experiences with Smart Honda. This is my second car that I have purchased from Smart Honda. This time I dealt with Benjamin Rhodes. He is a newer salesman, but he knows how to work wit is my second car that I have purchased from Smart Honda. This time I dealt with Benjamin Rhodes. He is a newer salesman, but he knows how to work with people! He will do everything that he can to get you into the car that you love. Would highly recommend everyone involved! More
