Trevor - we are sorry for the honest mistake on our end. Our service advisor transposed a couple numbers which happened to be the Vin # to your vehicle. I take issue with your comment of 'no response'. Once we became aware of the issue we contacted Carfax to fix the issue. You were informed of what was going on and the time frame it would take to correct. We also issued you a letter stating the information on the carfax was incorrect and that carfax is actively having it removed. Again, we are sorry for any inconvenience. It was never our intent for this to happen and we have taken all necessary steps to correct it. I would be more than happy to discuss this in greater detail with you. Sam, thank you for taking the time to speak with me in person the other day. I want to apologize for the situation again. We made a mistake and the pre-owned vehicle you were interested in purchasing was already sold. The salesperson forgot to remove the vehicle from the lot and for that I am sorry. It was not intentional. As we discussed earlier, we did nothing to impact your credit score. You applied for a loan thru your own credit union. We never pulled a credit report nor did we have any information to make such a request. I want to reiterate I understand your frustration and again I wish it would have been handled better.
