The Starling family has been in the retail automotive industry in Central Florida since 1948. Prior to becoming the Chevrolet dealer in Kissimmee, FL, Carroll Starling worked for Commercial Credit in Orlando, FL financing cars for local dealers and their retail customers. In addition to his duties as the Chevrolet dealer in Kissimmee FL, Carroll also served as a City Commissioner in Kissimmee for over 12 years and was involved in the early years of the Walt Disney World project that transformed Central Florida and the state of Florida.
His son Alan, became the dealer in 1975 at the age of 26 after returning from military service. Both the businesses and the surrounding communities grew exponentially throughout the 70’s and 80’s, with the population of Central Florida surpassing one million residents. Alan continued in his fathers footsteps of community involvement and was appointed by the Governor of Florida to sit on the Greater Orlando Aviation Authority on two different occasions, and also headed the Economic Development Council in the years prior to his role as the Florida Director for the National Automobile Dealers Association, which culminated in his election as the Chairman of NADA in 2003.
Three of Alan’s sons, Jack, Walker, and Andrew represent the third generation of Starling dealers in Central Florida and each work in and run Starling Chevrolet Cadillac in DeLand, Starling Chevrolet in Orlando, and Starling Chevrolet Buick GMC in St Cloud, FL.

Transmission issues 2013 Corvette developed a rattle in the shifter and an unusual noise when coasting. Long wait If you go in with a appointment expect to wait a long time. They have the slowest service department. Best dealer experience ever. I was 11 hours away from home on vacation with family . Transmission messed up .one dealer had a week wait. Starling took me right in .gave me loaner I was 11 hours away from home on vacation with family . Transmission messed up .one dealer had a week wait. The problem I had was found and fixed. I bought my SUV 1 1/2 years ago and the key fob would work a day then go out and not work for a week. I had the car in the dealership 8 times and the I bought my SUV 1 1/2 years ago and the key fob would work a day then go out and not work for a week. I had the car in the dealership 8 times and they kept trying to find the problem. This last time did the trick, the GM guy from Fort Lauderdale even checked out the car had something replaced but the fob didn't work again. Someone else was called and they said it may be some wiring, so the tech changed it out completely. I've had the car back almost 2 weeks and it's worked every time when I hit the fob lock and unlock. My serviceman was Eugene at the St. Cloud dealership, he stayed on this and kept me informed on what was going on, a job well done. Many thanks to him and the tech that worked on my car, it was a very difficult problem to find. More
