3 1/2 hours for routine service. I brought my 2013 XC90 in for warranty services on 8/9/16 for a 20,000 mile oil change and tire rotation, and to replace a missing T valve on the righ I brought my 2013 XC90 in for warranty services on 8/9/16 for a 20,000 mile oil change and tire rotation, and to replace a missing T valve on the right side windshield washer. While the vehicle was in, Steingold performed recall service to replace the spare tire winch cable. I arrived on-time for my 9:00 AM appointment. The vehicle didn't go in for service until 9:30 AM - no explanation given. The service took 3 1/2 hours. In my estimation, an oil change should not take longer than 30 minutes, a tire rotation and wheel balance not more than one hour, and 20 minutes to replace the T valve. Allowing for the 30 minute delay in getting my vehicle to service, the total service time, conservatively, should not have been longer than 2 hours - the service receipt did not indicate the "hour"s required for the services. Perhaps the manufacturer's standard service time to repair spare tire cable 1 1/2 hours, Had Steingold advised me that the service would take 3 1/2 hours, I would have made other arrangements. My previous service experiences at Steingold were good. Maybe this latest experience was an abnormality - they seemed to be overwhelmed with phone calls and service arrangements. I would recommend Steingold for warranty service, but I would advise Volvo owners to ask how long the service will take when making an appointment. More

Steingold even found a way to register my new car in Texas (w/ Texas tags) which is my home of record for the military. This saved me both money and the hassle of having redoing all my registration paperwork. Moreover, their possitive attitude and no pressure sales approach is unmatched. I stopped at two other RI Volvo dealerships and often felt like I was bothering them with my questions/visits. Steingold has changed my car buying experience! I worked with Stephen during this sale and he was patient as we discussed the details of the purchase. He let me test drive the new car multiple times (without him in the car) over multiple days and simply said to "just let (him) know" when I'm ready to make a decision. After a couple of days, I finally decided to buy the car. Stephen had the paperwork filled out quickly without the standard high pressure warranty/sales pitch in the finance office. When we were filling out the paperwork we noticed that the suscription for Volvo On-call was only 6 - months. We had previously agreed to a 1 year subscription; Stephen simply opened his wallet and pulled out his personal credit card and extended the service to 1.5 years to ensure he delivered to the terms of the agreement. Just when I thought they couldn't do anything more to show their level of commitment to their customers, they did! Michael spent over an hour with me making sure I was comfortable with every detail of the car and the features it offered. From start to finish it was an A+ service. I never thought I would say this about a car dealership... I trust them. That's a pretty odd feeling to have when you finish buying a car, but now that they have my trust they've also gained a new/future customer. Make this your first stop when you're ready to buy your next car and I promise you won't be disappointed. More

I only went in because I read their great reviews so I went in hoping it was true. And it was. Nobody talked about numbers, no pressure, none of the "what does it take to get you in this car?" games. Stephen was extremely nice, and he was so low pressured I actually wanted to and ended up getting a car from him when I did not originally intend to get a car that day. This is a family owned dealership - not some large dealership where the employees get paid regardless of what happens. In a family dealership, customer service matters, customers matters, because customers are the lifeblood of the place. These guys definitely reflect that in their approach - they are more concerned with helping you than getting your money. But in the end, dollars are votes, and I felt comfortable with their approach so I ended up voting with my feet! ABSOLUTELY RECOMMEND VISITING THEM IF YOU ARE CONSIDERING A VOLVO. More

Best new car purchasing experience EVAH! My husband & I have been purchasing cars together since 1970. We always research carefully and come to the dealership pretty much knowing what we wan My husband & I have been purchasing cars together since 1970. We always research carefully and come to the dealership pretty much knowing what we want to pay for a vehicle. My husband handles the transaction and is considered a "hard bargainer". In the past I have found these transactions very stressful, with much running back & forth to "check with my manager", and numerous silent pauses and in one case, walking out of the dealership and being chased down by the salesperson. Another event involved the salesperson taking $150.00 dollars from his own wallet in an effort to close the deal - we took the money & made the deal. While somewhat amusing I find these actions totally unnecessary. This was proven by our experience with Michael at Steingold Volvo. A relaxed atmosphere, knowledgeable, competent & curteous salesperson all contributed to a thoroughly enjoyable experience. While still "learning our vehicle" we are more that pleased with the entire process. More
