My Review Of Subaru of Puyallup:
I visited this dealership to look at a specific used Honda. Upon walking into the parking lot we were immediately greeted by Page. I mentioned the Honda from online and asked about seeing it. Page tapped on the window which set the alarm off. He said it normally doesn't do that and walked in to grab a key. Over 10 mins later of standing outside with a honking lit up car alarm going off and several employees coming out to investigate, Page came out with a key. We discussed the pricing and he had a paper in his hand that matched the price I had on my printout from the internet.
It was dark out and we test drove the car, Page sat in the back and seemed bored with the entire experience.
We got back to the dealership and went into the office to discuss some financials. Magically the car was more expensive when we went into the office. When I questioned the price hike, I was told his boss sits at home on his computer and checks out the prices of other cars in the area and what they are selling for, if he sees they are marked higher, he changes the price to be in the same range.
I thought this was complete crap!
I had intended on negotiating the price a bit and when I gave a lower price, Page had the audacity to come back to me and not only insult me and call me stubborn but to tell me that Im already getting a deal because the car now costs more. How is that a deal??? You marked the car up while we are on a test drive and then call me stubborn because I want a better deal?
Because it was later in the night, we were walked out of the building and told we would be contacted in a few days about the car and financing. They had all of the doors locked and looked like they were impatient with us.
4 days passed by before I had to call and inquire about what the heck was going on.I had zero contact from ANYONE during those 4 days.
We came back in and Page was again lacking any people or customer service skills and acted inconvenienced that during our LENGTHY wait (over an hour)for the finance portion of our transaction, I requested a Carfax report. He let me know the General Manager wasn't there that evening so they couldn't offer me one.
I asked again for one and he stormed off to a managers room.
When Page came back, he let me know that I wasn't worth the $30 that would have to be spent for the report.
I kindly let him know that I'm sure management has an expense account and that on a customer service basis, he was being quite unreasonable.
A few minutes later, a Carfax report was produced.
This was all just parts of what we encountered with this salesperson. I will never recommend this dealership to anyone in hopes that never experience what we did.
We were never contacted about the extra key or the fixing of a small dent in the car that we asked about before leaving and were told we would be contacted the next morning. Once we drove off, its like we never existed.
Oh, I did get a follow up call from Page. When I inquired about the dent and the key, he told me, "I'm glad you are happy with the car!" and some other rambling about using this dealership again and hung up.
Yeah, that's not going to happen. Ever.
