I recommend this dealer: Yes

My Review of Subaru of Wakefield:
We had just left one of the most bizarre places/dealerships I have ever been to, (Ira of Tewksbury) when we walked into this dealership. We pulled into the parking lot and as we walked up to the door we were greeted by who I guessed (correctly) was the person I had talked to on the phone. A friendly normal comfortable welcome. We took the car for a test drive, we sort of liked it though it had some minor but deal breaker problems for us. Chris Robertson was the name of the person we dealt with and I would highly recommend him. Ask for him if you go there. Even though we did not buy that day the experience was pleasant and enjoyable.

My Review of Subaru of Wakefield:
I've bought from Wakefield Subaru before, and customer service has been fine. Not anymore.

I am shopping for a car, and sent Wakefield Subaru a quick quote request from their website form for a 2009 model in red.

Jon Coill responded with a quote for a 2010 white car, and the usual BS that I have to come in [apparently, so that he can waste more of my time in person].

I sent another quote request explaining that I really am interested in 2009 red. In response Mr.Coill gave up the pretense of answering my question completely, and went on how I have offended his feelings by asking for a quote for a car I actually want to buy.

Now, how do I get a hold of the [reasonably] nice guy who I've bought from before? Preferably, by email.

My Review of Subaru of Wakefield:
I had to ammend my previous review dut to fact I said I'd recomend this dealership..

I most certainly WOULD NOT!!!!

As stated in my previous review, these guys seemed to pass judgement on outward appearances and the fact that being someone that likes body mods, I thereby have no money.

I will say that I did agree to put the deposit on the car initially and realized I only was able to use up to $500 at a time without calling my credit card company ahead of time and notifying them of a large, pending transaction, thereby making my card get denied..

That said in full disclosure, BUT, it doesn't change the fact that the $1,000 deposit was demanded in the first place..

My Review of Subaru of Wakefield:
Went in to drive a used Legacy Outback with my wife and 6 year old son..

During the entire testdrive, I was given specs and performance facts ad figures even though I had told the salesman I worked in the business & was VERY familiar with the product.. It was like he didn't care what I had to say..

THEN, I was doing preliminary paperwork on the car in question even though I wasn't really sure if I was going to buy it when the finance manager walked by and literly RIPPED the paprework out of the sales guy's hands..

When he was asked why he did that, the response was "I want to get out of here tonight"..

THEN, I was told that it was "policy" to require a $1,000 deposit on the car even before they would run my credit app..

As silly as this sounds, I believe judgement was passed on my due to my outward appearance (Tattoo sleeves & earrings) which I really don't care about BUT if that's the reason I was asked for $1,000 up front, that's just a rotten way of doing business..

The finance manager in my opinion should be fired for the arrogant attitude he showed.

As for my car search, I'm VERY happy with my Legacy Outback purchased at Cityside in Belmont.

Reason for Visit: Service

I recommend this dealer: Yes

My Review of Subaru of Wakefield:
I did not buy my car there, but I have had my car serviced at Wakefield Subaru for 4 years. The service managers are really friendly and helpful, the service work is fast, and the prices are very reasonable. If you are bringing your Subaru in for service, this is a great dealership to deal with, IMHO.

My Review of Subaru of Wakefield:
i was looking for a new car but not in a rush. i pass this dealer every day, its a small town dealer and i like to keep my business in town. weeks before i told a friend i was going to stop there and i was told, "that dealer has an attitude". i went into the dealer and was greeted by a salesman and we road tested several cars with no problem. we sat down and talked about price eventhough i told them i wasn't in a rush. after the salesman came up with a price he called the salesmanager. the salesmanager reduce the price but when i didn't jump he turned nasty. he said, "are you ready to buy now?" i said, "no". "that's all i need to know", turned and walked away. the salesman called the next day and i said, "i can't help but think that that attitude runs through the entire dealership". "you couldn't give me a car from that dealer" and hung up. i'm amazed that auto sales people think you were born yesterday. they offen act like jurks.
