Absolutely terrible communication. My vehicle was taken in for service to get a new engine under warranty which took 2 1/2 months from start to finish. I would never receive any update My vehicle was taken in for service to get a new engine under warranty which took 2 1/2 months from start to finish. I would never receive any updates from John, I had to constantly call and check on it myself. Kept getting the run around and blame put elsewhere. John was rude over the phone, and had an attitude in person that seemed like he didn't care and was upset at the fact he was dealing with you and your vehicle. Wish I could have had someone else be my service rep, because he solely ruined any future business I will have with this dealership. More
Tim did a very thorough job servicing my car and also explaining what he did and why he did it. On 8/5/2022, I had a complete vehicle inspection performed on a used 2010 Hyundai Elantra I was considering purchasing from another dealership nearby. I was told by the Suntrup Hyundai service advis performed on a used 2010 Hyundai Elantra I was considering purchasing from another dealership nearby. I was told by the Suntrup Hyundai service advisor that the only concerns with the vehicle were that it needed an air filter and had about 50% brake life left. The day after purchasing the vehicle, I discovered that it made a high pitched squeal when first driven after it sat overnight. I called and left a message about this, but I did not receive a call back. I took the car to my local Firestone on 8/17/2022 to look into the noise, and it needed two new belts (AC and alternator) and the battery failed inspection and needed replaced (and was apparently the wrong size). These are expensive repairs that would have made me reconsider purchasing this vehicle. I emailed the Hyundai dealership about this via their website on 8/17/2022, but got no response. I reported this to the BBB, and Suntrup refused to accept any responsibility. I have since reported this to the MO Attorney General's office and Hyundai Corporate. I am exceptionally disappointed that a Hyundai dealer did not properly inspect and diagnose issues with a Hyundai vehicle. More
They kept my car overnight without telling me for 1 oil change no communication with me at all, they text me at 6:11 stating my car is ready for pick up and when I got there at 6:35 the sales manager told change no communication with me at all, they text me at 6:11 stating my car is ready for pick up and when I got there at 6:35 the sales manager told me service closes at6pm and I would have to get my car tomorrow. Definitely will not do business with them again. More

This will probably be taken down I am sure. I bought my 2020 Elantra new in 2020 and had every service, Oil changes) , recalls done at this dealership. when my car had gotten close to 19000 mil I bought my 2020 Elantra new in 2020 and had every service, Oil changes) , recalls done at this dealership. when my car had gotten close to 19000 miles I started hearing a taping noise in my engine. probably for a straight year of taking my car in for regular oil changes I told them about this tapping noise, each and every time they documented it on my invoice of not finding anything wrong. eventually in the last few months my engine was making a terrible roaring noise and I immediately took it back in and ask them to investigate. The same day they called me in the afternoon and told me the car was unsafe to drive that the motor needed to be replaced. they said the cylinders were scored. Apparently with the fact of not finding anything wrong in that there was a tapping noise at all the oil changes, My engine was using oil and had did all this damage during this time. The engine was then replaced in January 2022. After having it back about a month I have taken my car back to service for oil leakage 3 times and got the run around about getting a loaner car for getting back and forth to work. What next???? My car has only 23000 miles on it at the present time and I am afraid to take it too far from home. I work less than 5 miles from work so that is a good thing. I am not sure what to do from here but keep corporate customer care informed of all updates. I know the service advisers are over their heads in keeping up with it all. More
