My Review of Sussex Honda:
Since 1999 I have purchased 3 Honda's from Sussex Honda, each time the experience just gets better. To be somewhat fair the last 2 were purchased dealing with the Internet team! This basically means that at the time I walked in the door the transaction was just about set. This latest transaction for a 2008 Honda Civic LX with Judy was great. I went back and forth with her at least 20 times via e-mail on price, options, financing, etc. When I did finally speak to her she was very polite and helpful!End state I purchased the car for $16,884 (MSRP 18,395), that's over $200 BELOW dealer invoice!

My Review of Sussex Honda:
We were looking to get a new Accord, and since we had already purchased in the past, we figured we should go there first as maybe things had changed. Our first purchase there was from a big guy named Mike, who was anything but a 'good guy' to deal with, but I thought I should be open-minded and go in there to see what they could offer us.
When we arrived, we were greeted by a gang of salesmen, all standing around the front door smoking cigarettes and wearing black leather jackets. We had to walk around them and excuse ourselves to even get into the dealership! When we stepped inside, it was a very nice showroom! But, it was empty! Where was everybody?
I saw Mike sitting behind a glass partition at a desk in the middle of the showroom. He saw us, and without a word, walked past us to get a salesman to help us. He went outside and yelled "Matt, your appointment is here!" Funny thing is, I never called or made an appointment at all.
Matt came in and introduced himself, and asked us how could he help us. I told him we wanted to test drive a new Accord to see how we like it. I couldn't believe it as he immediately asked how we were planning on paying for the car. Excuse me?? I told Matt that he shouldn't concern himself with that just yet, I was very insulted, as if I couldn't afford the car! Well, on the test drive, we were very impressed with the car, but less impressed with Matt's dialogue. He really looked like he was very hungover and just plain down-and-out, I almost felt sorry for him. I asked him how I got to be his appointment. He said that he was Mike(sales mgr.) nephew, and that Mike likes for him to help all of his old customers. I couldn't believe that! At least Mike, when dealing face to face, showed a little courtesy. Matt was far from courteous, he tried to tell us that we couldn't afford that EX-V6, and he did not want us to finance, he insisted that leasing was they way to go. It was like pulling teeth just to get an idea of monthly payments. Why does it have to be so hard? And why wouldn't they do what I wanted them to do? To top it all off, they tried to tell me that the window etching had to be purchased, it was printed on all of the contracts already. As I got up to walk out, Mike finally broke his silence and walked over to ask us what was wrong, why were we leaving? I told him that his Nephew here had pushed one too many of our buttons and he was rude and inconsiderate. Mike then asked us what were we waiting for to purchase the car? We were probably tired and maybe a little cranky? I couldn't believe what was spewing forth from this character's mouth. How in the world did that guy get to be a Manager talking to customers like that?
We left, OBVIOUSLY, and never looked back. Joyce Honda treated us much better, and we drove home, with our new EX-V6 Accord after the first visit to Joyce Honda!

My Review of Sussex Honda:
We were in the market for a 2007 CR-V EX 4WD in January 2007.

Our telephone/email point of contact was Traci Arias in sales. She was right up front in the fact that she would not even bring any offer from a customer, to her manager, that was anything below MSRP.

Traci, thanks for being upfront about selling ABOVE MSRP!
That should tell you something about Sussex Honda. We passed on them.
