My Review of Tim Marburger Honda:
I was in the market for a 2006 Civic Si. I researched the car extensively and knew more about it than the salepeople did. I know these cars are in high demand and I was willing to pay MSRP. MSRP for the car had not been announced yet.

I started communicating with the internet manager through email and called him once. He seemed like a pretty cool guy. I told him what I was willing to pay, I did not want to pay for scams like First Place Finish, and I wanted the car to be delivered in February or March 2006. He asked me why I wanted to wait until then because they had a car coming in December. I informed him that I wanted to save up for a significant down payment.

I travelled to the dealership and that is where the fun began. The saleman I had communicated on the internet was laid back and I did not mind dealing with him.

While in his office, another salesman (possibly the sales manager) would pop in from time to time and give his two cents about the car. This guy had a flattop haircut and everytime he talked, he just wreaked of salesman. He said, "This car is gonna be hot!"

Remember, I was asked why I wanted to wait and buy when they had a car coming in December. Flattop informs me that he has already sold four Civic Si's and each potential buyer put down a $1000 deposit. I did not believe him but I kept quiet about it. I had come prepared to pay $500 but I could have easily moved some more money into my checking account.

He leaves and I ask the internet manager if the price was going to be MSRP. HE WOULD NOT GIVE ME AN ANSWER ON THE PRICE!!! These guys wanted me to pay them $1000 with no agreement on the price! In other words, I was pretty much writing them a blank check. Why didn't they at least tell me the price on the four they had supposedly already sold?

Anyway, the internet manager told me he would contact me when they could offer me a price. I will make sure and thank him for wasting my time and insulting my intelligence.
