Probably the Best Car buying Experience Ever : I had the very good fortune of contacting Kevin Hamlin of Toyota Town of Stockton to inquire about a price for a 2014 Highlander LTD. I usually buy c I had the very good fortune of contacting Kevin Hamlin of Toyota Town of Stockton to inquire about a price for a 2014 Highlander LTD. I usually buy cars through the internet salesperson and I usually have done my homework. I had already had gotten the True Car price and the Consumer Reports dealer cost after the dealer holdback on a New Highlander Limited FWD. I live in Fresno, so I contacted the dealers in Fresno who were selling at sticker and knew from True Car and Consumer reports that these cars were in short supply and the dealers were not coming off sticker much. So I emailed Toyota town of Stockton, among other dealers relating to the Highlander I was inquiring about. Kevin Hamlin wrote back that he didn't have the specific FWD Highlander Limited that I was inquiring about, but he did have a Highlander Limited Platinum AWD. This is the top of the line Highlander that had AWD, the Technology package, with the frontal collision, lane departure,and radar cruise control and Panoramic moonroof on a Predawn Grey with Almond Leather Interior. This car's MSRP was $4,000 more than the Highlander I was looking to buy. The next thing I know is that he sent me the MSRP and the Dealers Invoice cost and said he could give it to me for only $1300 more than I had offered on FWD Limited did not have the technology safety features, panoramic moonroof and his was AWD. I was taken back. So I thought I would check Longo Toyota in El Monte they are the largest Toyota Dealer in the United States and usually have great deals. There internet manager said they would not match that price and there had to be something wrong. I contacted a friend who was a Toyota salesperson at a dealership in the valley that didn't have any Limited's and he checked the VIN # said Toyota of Stockton had one arriving as Kevin had said. He told me if he really gives it to you at that Price Buy it. He said they had one coming in but there was no way they could sell it at the price Kevin had offered. A week Later Kevin called and said the Highlander had arrived and I went to pick it up and he had it all prepped. It was very nice to deal with a gentleman that was a man of his word, neither True Car.com or Consumer reports shows a price lower than I have paid though prices are declining. Toyota Town of Stockton and Kevin Hamlin made this a very professional and simple business transaction. If you are in the market to buy a new Toyota, the due diligence test is to inquire about a price from Kevin Hamlin of Toyota of Stockton before you proceed in buying a car. I am very appreciative of the price and the ease of this transaction. More

I went back to Honda dealership to look at the Honda Accord again and I was approached by one of the sales person and was not to friendly. I told him I was still thinking about which car to buy then he gave his card and said to let him know when I'm ready. That right then I was not to pleased about what he did. So me and my husband decided to eat in Sacramento and after I told him to go to Toyota town in Sacramento, so I thought we were driving there but then my husband just passed it and he said just go to Stockton Toyota and as soon as we got there I got off the car and right away Suzy Negrete asked if we needle help and I told her I wanted to see the Toyota Camry and that I was a Costco member and right away she said she's the right person to talk too because she was one of the person handling Costco member. And she went straight to the point and very friendly and professional and showed the priced and warranty they have I was very pleased so I decided to buy the car. Just purchased a new Tundra from Toyota Town. I sent emails to various dealers in the area, Kevin was the only one that came back with a reasonable offer. We also worked with Asif in finance. He made that process go smoothly as well, no hard sales, just offered some services he thought we might like. He was surprisingly easy to deal with---no haggling at all over small details (or large ones, either). THE PRICE HE QUOTED WAS THE PRICE WE GOT. He was willing to search for the color of the car we wanted with the interior that we liked, & he found the car in about a week. It was obvious from the beginning that he was completely knowledgeable about the car we wanted, the dealership he works for, & that he had the authority to make decisions without continually running into another room to ask someone higher up for permission to make a deal. He seemed to be a devoted family man, and a person who has integrity in his personal life most likely carries that same integrity into his business life as well. We have always been treated with respect and dignity in all of our dealings with Toyota Town. Looking for a vehicle online, we received a call from Kevin Hamlin, Internet Sales Director. We made arrangements to meet with him the following day. Kevin asked several questions of my husband when he called and had a vehicle waiting for us to see and test drive when we arrived. We truly appreciated his friendly demeanor and kind, respectful treatment. I, especially, am appreciative of the consideration and kindness shown to my husband, who is ill. Kevin treated us with respect and patience, even when I was asking one of my many uninformed questions. Even though I did extensive research on the Internet, I am still very much a novice when it comes to purchasing a vehicle. This gentleman has the patience of a saint! Kevin had an accurate knowledge of our wants v. our needs, and he did not try to pressure us into a more expensive vehicle; nor did he try to pressure us into purchasing the vehicle he presented for our consideration. As I said previously, we have done business with Toyota Town since the mid-1980's, when we purchased our SR5 truck. Although all of our experiences with Toyota Town have been pleasant, this was, by far, the most pleasant experience we have ever had purchasing a vehicle; everything was explained to us, every question answered no matter how inconsequential or trivial, it may have seemed to a professional. Yes! We did purchase the 2013 RAV4 LE Kevin had waiting for us, which takes us to the Finance Department, where we were introduced to Aaron, who completed the sales process for us; another very kind, pleasant and considerate individual. When you get to the Finance Officer, you're heart can sometimes skip a beat, as you begin wondering all over again - Am I getting a good deal? Do I really know what I'm doing? What am I doing here? What a great team of professionals! Aaron presented a pleasant, no pressure demeanor making us feel at ease, as we completed signing ALL the paperwork. Again, what a pleasant experience! By now, we had taken up four hours of their very valuable time, which leads me to one last thing, my husband had an appointment and was unable to drive our other vehicle home. No problem! Aaron reached out to have someone drive our new RAV4 home. We were aware this was a last minute hardship, but with a smile Kevin helped to facilitate the arrangements. I apologize for not remembering the names of the two gentlemen who assisted us, but both were pleasant, caring and, again, very kind, pleasant and considerate. Of course this accommodation meant one gentleman followed me as I dropped my husband off for his appointment, while the other gentleman waited at our home for us to arrive. I know there are other dealerships and many other vehicles from which to choose (in fact, we considered others), but in the end we went back to Toyota Town and have no regrets! Toyota Town knew how to treat its clients in the mid-1980's and, if possible, they treat their clients even better today. Gentleman, please be glad my husband had an appointment, as you put us in such a comfort zone, it was as though we were having a conversation with old friends AND we might still be sitting in your offices How does one say thank you to ALL who made our experience so enjoyable, stress-free, and treated us both, especially my husband, with so much kindness and respect other than to just say thank you?
