Misleading Dealership Practices and Lack of Transparency I had a deeply disappointing and stressful experience with United Nissan. I went in expecting to be a co-signer for a friend, but the dealership processed the deal in my name as the primary buyer without fully explaining or disclosing the change. The vehicle they listed in my contract had a different stock number, color, and details from the car my friend was actually driving. I was told I would be able to refinance after six months, but that turned out to be false information. The salesman who handled the deal is not even the name shown on my purchase documents. In addition, I have an SR-22 insurance requirement, and they failed to confirm insurance coverage or registration, even though they knew my status. Later, I discovered the vehicle was ticketed for no insurance or registration — even though I was listed as the buyer without ever receiving the car or keys. Westlake Financial has since opened an investigation and filed a repurchase demand to the dealership because of the inconsistencies and misrepresentations involved. I’ve filed complaints with the Nevada DMV, CFPB, and Attorney General, as this experience has caused serious emotional and financial stress. Consumers should be extremely cautious when purchasing from this dealership. Always verify paperwork line by line, ensure insurance and registration are handled properly, and do not rely on verbal promises. More
