My Review of Van Horn Hyundai Sheboygan:
We stopped in to buy a new 2012 Accent. My wife like the styling, and I liked the fuel mileage. We had it for 3 months and noticed that the car would sway on the road when you went over snow. We took it in twice before we had a chance to show Jay and Brian what the car did. They got to see what it did and did an alignment on the car. When that did not do it we were told to drop it off again. So we did on the next Tuesday. We got a call that afternoon to tell us that the car needed an rear axle. They had it for a week and put a new one in. They also informed us that we needed to buy new tires, because the factory ones were not that good. The dealership paid for half, but a new car and we had to put $200 worth of tires on it already. The first snow we had the car did the same thing. BTW, The service department led by Jay, they were the greatest. There department could not have done any better. We inform them of that and they said they would get back to us. My wife received a call 2 mornings later to come in because they wanted to get us into another car. She obliged and show up. We felt the car was a safety issue so that is why she went in. We bought the car for 16,500. Put a $3200 trade in on it. Made 4 payments of $205. Needed to get rid of the car for safety reasons. We put 7500 miles on it in 5 months. And all they would give us for it was $13800 or so. Plus almost 2 points higher interest rate. And then charged us a hair under sticker for the new car. I will never buy a car from them ever again.

First and foremost, sorry to hear that you had some trouble during your ownership and then again some sour feelings after your second purchase at our store. The first thing I like to do when someone’s unhappy is figure out a reasonable fair solution that both parties can agree on would be a responsible solution. Sounds like two issues. The first one is you were not happy with the operation of the first vehicle you purchased. Sound like it was a tire issue, and after reading your letter, it was nice to see that our Van Horn dealership worked nicely with you to try and solve the handling problem. I checked into our repair records and noticed that Van Horn paid for some different tires in an attempt to solve the situation. It’s a little troubling that the new tires didn’t solve the issues, but I understand and respect your comments. To answer your second issue, sounds like you feel that the trade in allowance you were given when you traded in the first vehicle purchased 6 months ago wasn’t what you felt to be a fair amount. I totally understand this and truthfully it’s hard to move up into a more expensive vehicle without paying the difference in value between the two vehicles. The Hyundai products are an industry leader in holding their value well above the average vehicle. I looked up the transaction and without sharing the numbers in an open forum, can tell you that once again Van Horn conducted business in a fair manor and worked out a trade difference with you paying an amount that was much in your favor compared to the industry standards. Once again, I respect your comments and will leave my email address for you to add some comments detailing what I could do to make your recent purchase a more memorable and happy experience. My Review of Van Horn Hyundai Sheboygan:
From the start, the salesmen was dis-honest, not willing to go that extra mile, and not experienced enough to help the customer.
After dealing with the salesmen, I went to Finance, and Management, they were easy to get along with, had actual knowledge of the product, and were willing to go that extra mile for the customer. The original car was not represented, the second car had gotten into a severe accident, but customer wasn't told, then afraid of losing me, they offered the car I am driving now in place of everything. This car was certified.
Car had a huge scratch on hubcap, salesmen wasn't willing to do a thing, but management was.
No manual in car, customer had to get a manual from another car.
No net in vehicle, salesmen didn't offer anything, but did later after customer got frustrated.
Stains in vehicle which no one at dealership cleaned before putting out on lot.
Scratches inside of car that dealership should of noticed and at least tryed to get out.
Dealing with finance, customer thought he received a fair deal, but spent alot of time at the dealership to justify that. Total time at dealership involving two nights: 5.25 hours.
I would stay away from this dealership in Sheboygan, Wi. What a hassle this place was............! Nice car, and the price was ok, but only after I raised the bar and yelled at the salesmen!

Carol and I were very happy with the way we were treated at the Van Horn Agency.
Francis was very patient with us as we worked our way towards finding the right car.
He did an excellent job of showing us the different features of the vehicle we chose.
I would recommend the Van Horn Agency to anyone looking to buy a car.

I was very pleased with my experience at Van Horn Hyundai in Sheboygan. I had previously been to another dealer. I finally walked out of their showroom. I found Van Horn on the internet and emailed Crissy. I let them know what car I was interested in and when I would be in. When I arrived the car was ready to test drive, they gave me a trade in value that I thought was very fair. I came back the next day, financing etc. went very smooth. I have never had such a smooth, up front buying experience. I would not hesitate to recommend them.

My Review of Van Horn Hyundai Sheboygan:
We brought our Dodge Caravan in on 7/1/11 for extended warranty work. Our air conditioner stopped working. When the Service Department found the leak, the insurance company told them they would send an inspector tolook at the condensor that was leaking. If they found any rust or corrosion the repair would not be covered. We found this was a common problem with the vans in 2006 / 2007. Chrysler extended the coverage to 7 years / 70,000 miles. I had 75,000 miles. The odds were against me, so we decided to think of trading the van in for a new vehicle.

We already have two Elantra's from Van Horn. So we decided to see what they had. We went to the lot to look on Saturday late afternoon 7/2/11. Even though it was above 85° and the dealership closed in 10 minutes, Daniel came up to us to see if he coud help us. In the next hour, Daniel stayed longer, showed us various types of cars, took us for test drives and gave us a new car to try over the 4th of July weekend. We liked the car, but felt uncomfortable having it during the Holiday weekend, so I returned it Sunday and got the loaner I was given.

During the week of July 4th. Daniel was persistant, yet became a friend. He wanted to help us find a new vehicle that had all the extras, yet we could afford. He did just that and we closed on the sale & trade Friday July 8th.

I have enjoyed driving my new Santa Fe since and have not missed my van. I have had Dodge Caravans for the last 15 years.

Bought a new Hyundai Accent which developed a noise. Took it in for service and the service dept. couldn't have been nicer. The problem was fixed and I was on my way. The waiting area is clean and nice. I would recommend this dealership to friends and family.

My Review of Van Horn Hyundai Sheboygan:
I have never purchased a vehicle on the Internet before and was somewhat apprehensive in doing so. Since the internet allows you to research and fully understand the value of a vehicle that you determine to be the best fit for your needs, this seemed to be the way to go, but actually complete a transaction this way? This truly made me nervous.

Chris Carlson and the entire team at Van Horn Hyundai in Sheboygan immediately put me at ease and did everything they could to assure me that I was going to be delighted with my purchase. Of course I had several other dealers throughout the United States vying for my business at this time, but Van Horn truly went the extra mile to ensure that I was completely satisfied with my decision to purchase my new Hyundai Genesis from them.

In fact, Chris and Gene even drove the car 3 hours, meeting me half way between my home and Sheboygan in order to make it as convenient as possible for me to complete the transaction. The car was everything that they said it was and I thoroughly enjoyed the ride home in my new car completely satisfied that I had made the right decision in purchasing my new car from Van Horn Hyundai rather than all of the others that were trying to get my business.

Not only will I continue to research and purchase future cars using the Internet, but the first place I will start to look will be at the Van Horn website. I highly recommend this knowledgeable, friendly and customer centered dealership to everyone regardless of where you live for your next vehicle purchase.

I was very happy with the way I was treated. Ryan was very helpful. He took time with me and told me how everything worked in the car. He also set up the bluetooth for me. From what I heard alot of dealer ships don't do that. I was very happy with the service. I would tell anybody that ask me it is worth the hour drive to go to Van Hore Hyundai for a car.

Francis was a very knowledgeable sales rep that helped me to make comparisons to other vehicles I was considering for purchase. He was also very patient and flexible in working with me to complete the sale despite the fact that I had mistakenly arrived unable to produce some of the necessary documentation. This is my first new vehicle and I'm very happy with it!
