"went in for service ended up with a newer car "

CSABA was very personable as I was in for service of my 2008 new beetle convertible. I ended up trading it in for a 2012 new beetle with so many more features as well as balance of warrantee Everyone at VW New Port Richey has been a pleasure to work with. This dealer is absolutely great to do business with. They are total professionals from the sales staff to the service & parts department. I Just purchased a new GTI and not only do I love the care but the whole purchase experience. My sales consultant Jesse Bigwood is an absolute professional who makes the purchase experience totally painless and enjoyable. He went far and beyond to show me all the ins and outs of the vehicle and everything related to the purchase. "Amazing Experience with VW of NPR"

I have dealt with other Volkswagen dealerships in the past, but this time I went to the New Port Richey Dealership. The were so friendly and did not pressure me at all. It was like dealing with friends I have known for a while. They worked with me to get to where I needed to be to make a deal, and even had the vehicle delivered because it was elsewhere. My salesman, Spencer Flood, was very professional and knowledgeable about the cars there, and he made me feel so relaxed about getting a vehicle from them. This was by far the best car purchasing experience I have ever had, and I've gotten at LEAST 15 cars in my lifetime. Even the financing end of the process was painless and enjoyable. I HIGHLY recommend going to see the friendly professionals at VW of New Port RIchey over any dealership in this area (Pinellas / Pasco/ Hernando / Hillsboro / Tampa) if you are looking for a Volkswagen, and they have some great pre-owned vehicles as well. It's worth the drive over there. You won't regret it. BTW, I leased a Beautiful Red GLI from them, and they really worked with me to make that deal happen. I won't go anywhere else from now on - they have a customer for life with me. Check them out and you'll see what I'm talking about! Steven K.

"My experience at this dealership has been unwelcoming...."

My experience at this dealership has been unwelcoming. The Sales associate, Lisa, that worked with me barely new a thing about the vehicle that i couldn't know by looking at the car myself. Any question i asked her resulted in her going to the manger to get answer. And when she did give me a confident answer, there was contradiction from the manger expressing his flexibility. Now of course one sales associate does not represent the quality of a dealership. But as i dug further into the sale, the dealers refused to work with me on lowering the price due to an obvious collision the car was in. the repair job done on the car advertised the corners cut into repairing this vehicle. I was finally able to agree on a reasonable price after hours of fair debate, which again isnt unexpected, but at the same time, the dealers showed me how much they really cared about my business by ignoring me the majority of the time. when i was leaving the dealer with this car, i noticed fog in the headlights. i asked the associate about it, and she told me that it is normal for the headlights to fog. i told her i knew better than that and she insisted that it was normal for she has been "selling Volkswagens for 6 years now". being confident that the car was a Certified preowned, we agreed that if anything came up, to bring the car back and they would be glad to help. the next morning, i noticed that my headlight on the driver side wouldn't turn on. so i drove to the nearest Volkswagen dealer, and explained them the situation. they quickly and greatly took care of me and replaced the bulb, free of charge. they properly advised me to go back to the new port dealership and have them help. so i did, and upon arival, the manager was giving me a very hard time in dealing with the fact that the headlights of my car were clearly cracked. it was very clearly written in the report that the headlights had no damage, yet, the headlights did indeed factually have damage. i understand that faults can be looked over. mistakes happen. what amazed me was that the manager felt he had no obligation to fix the problem when he sold me a car under false terms. even when he admitted that the headlights should be replaced, he attempted to have me pay a $50 deductible for the service. He kept using the excuse that i bought a used car and faults should be expected. i was in apathetic shock! what does it even mean to have a certified preowned vehicle?! i might as well just by any vehicle if i am to expect faults. i once again had to argue with him until the service associate came to the rescue, about the only decent employee at the dealership, Mick. He told me that because of the mistake on their part, he would order a set of new headlights and have them replaced. he also offered to have another look at the body work and have maintenance improve the repairs. he also assured me that he would try to get the deductible waived, an even if he couldn't, the dealership would cover the fee. about a month later, i finally got the opportunity to bring in the vehicle and have the procedure done. it was a huge relief to leave that dealership and know that i have no ties for me to return. at the end of their business, i believed nothing less that they have no other priority besides making money, and ignoring the hospitality for the customer when it comes to customer service. ive been deeling with Volkswagen dealerships and companies for 7 years now, and i can confidently say that i dont believe this dealership lives up to what i know to be the Volkswagen standard. I hope that future customers do not go through what i did and displace their aggression on Volkswagen rather than this one lethargic dealership.
