I had a very bad experience with Wellesley Toyota. After finding the used vehicle I wanted, I negotiated the deal with the Sales Manager Shaun Fisher. The day that I picked up my vehicle, I noticed that th finding the used vehicle I wanted, I negotiated the deal with the Sales Manager Shaun Fisher. The day that I picked up my vehicle, I noticed that there was a scratch that I hadn't noticed before. After a bit of haggling, I told Shaun that I was unhappy but I agreed to proceed with the sale blaming myself for not having noticed the scratch when I test drove the vehicle the first time. I had a bank check ready to purchase the vehicle and all of my paperwork was in order. Shaun proceeded to ask me whether I wanted to repair the scratch for $300. I told him that I did not and that I wanted to purchase the vehicle and have the scratch repaired elsewhere. This is where it got very interesting. Shaun proceeded to tell me that he decided that he did not want to sell me this vehicle if I was not going to service it there. He then asked for my credit card in order to refund my deposit. Frankly I was shocked. I thought that these types of tactics were a thing of the past but apparently they are not. Adam the sales person that I dealt with initially who incidentally was very good was also surprised but seemed to feel helpless as he watched his supervisor walk away with my credit in order to process my refund. At that very moment I decided that a dealership that endorsed this type of bullying tactics was not for me, so rather than insist on purchasing the vehicle which I believe I had every right to do, I chose to take my deposit back and take my business elsewhere. I was looking for a Toyota Highlander Hybrid. Toyota of Wellesley had the best price on the model I wanted. I worked with a guy names Ted who was helpful right off the bat and more then happy to help make the entire process a breeze. I had already walked in there looking for the new 2011 Scion Tc and had already the bat and more then happy to help make the entire process a breeze. So when I walked in there he was able to show me the full list of upgrades of things I had already looked at and things I hadent seen yet, then he showed me to my car, a week later I am driving my new car. They took care of the plates, registration, inspection gave me 2 spare keys for a 3 key total. Did a final walkthrough with me to show me the upgrades I had requested and going over alot of the things we didnt cover in the inital visit. I had to do a trade in and they gave me a solid price on car as well as a APR below what was on Scions main web page which made the payments even more affordable. I only had to make 2 trips total to the dealership and if I need anything else I have there contact info to arrange a time to stop by. More

From the very first conversation, Jason was friendly, honest, and upfront about everything. He took the time to listen and was willing to do whatever he could to honor our requests. When it came time to finalize the purchase, Michael was also extremely honest about what he could do for us. I was very pleased with the final deal they offered my daughter and how the entire processs went. I do not rate organizations often, but I give Toyota Wellesley 5 stars and I would definitely return there for future purchases. More

Chris and Greg, as well as Nathan, created a very positive, friendly atmosphere. Chris and Greg went above and beyond professionalism; I felt like they were on my side, in that they thought ahead about issues that didn't occur to me. For example, Chris noticed that my license plate, which I've been using for over 20 years, was not in the greatest condition, and was concerned about its practicality and my future use of it, offering me advice on dealing with it. Greg was careful to explain all specific issues with financing and insurance, and considerately gave advice on how to handle interim registration issues. Both Chris and Greg went out of their way to ensure that I would receive the $500 rebate offered, although it meant a lot of extra work for them. We came to the dealership to test drive a 2010 used Highlander Hybrid after doing much research and deciding the car was likely a good fit for us. To our surprise, Jason was very laid back and up-front with dealer invoice pricing so there was no need to haggle or spend hours of frustrating time negotiating with a "manager" (closer). We bought a new 2011 Hybrid from Jason and feel we got a very fair price for our trade as well. If every dealership was this easy and reasonable to work with people wouldn't dread buying a car. I highly, highly recommend the dealership and both Jason Crede and Greg Lavin. More
