My Review of Wellesley Volkswagen:
Have used this dealer to service my Phaeton since March, 2007. They are far superior to VW of Boston in that they seek to RETAIN customers and have repeat business. Honest, fair and very helpful always. Worth the trip out of Boston. They pride themselves on fixing the problem and customer service.

My Review of Wellesley Volkswagen:
Super rip off and no customer care - this place charged me 2 hours of labor for a 0.5 hour job, and were unapologetic when I argued about it. I had an appointment and brought the car in at 7:30am to have the latest VW recall work done and to have the LATCH system installed on one side of my 2001 passat. The LATCH system had already been done for the other side and it took 0.5 hours according to my invoice from VW Brookline from a couple years back. VW Wellesley said the car would be ready by 2pm. I called at 2 and they said 2:30. I was there at 2:30 and it still wasn't ready. I complained at 3pm and it turns out my car had just been sitting in the lot waiting. I go to pay and the bill was $224.03 - parts plus 2 hours of labor. I talked to the service manager and he defended the 2 hours to bolt two pieces of metal to the frame. This place is worthless. I'd never go back.

My Review of Wellesley Volkswagen:
They gave me a great price, but nothing else about the experience was good. They told me they would install a free MP3 player (which they advertised in the Boston Globe). When I picked up the car though the player hadn't been installed. They told me the new Jetta wasn't compatible with the player and instead they'd give me a $50 gift certificate for their service department. I declined the offer and told them I wanted $350 to go buy an iPod to use in the car since they had promised me an MP3 player. They then claimed they had never promised me an MP3 player and essentially called me a liar. I've now made it a point to tell all of my friends never to buy a car from Welleseley VW.

My Review of Wellesley Volkswagen:
Bought a VW Cabrio in 2001 with 8,000 miles; in 2006 with 22,000 miles on this car (after regular servicing also) it needed over $3,000 dollars worth of repairs! Dealer would not comment, no explanation on why etc. Asked was this typical? Did a carfax search on the car and found it had been repossed in 2001, this was never disclosed to us despite us asking for the history on the car - we were told it was a VW employee's car that was driven for 3 months. Will never buy a VW or have any dealings with this company again. Be careful.
