We chose our vehicles to drive by looking on line. We drove a car first and ultimately decided to go with the Escape for our purchase. Danny Hefley did not try to influence us to purchase the more expensive vehicle at any time. We appreciate him listening to the list of features we wanted in a vehicle and then supplying a few choices to meet that list. We also received a better trade than another Ford dealership we had talked to previously.

In the last three years have went to Clay Maxey Ford for service three times. Left angry the first time and a little upset another. Today I went for the Ford Works service and Computer Flash as I installed a oem remote starter. I left totally happy. I was at the point of thinking about timing service on my truck for trips up north to see family but their service department today (rep. Haley Estes and the service manager) changed my mind about This dealership. I will be having my future service done there and they have a customer for life as long as they give me this type of service.

We bought a used truck from them. By the time we got home, it was making a terrinle noise and was losing power. We had to get it fixed which cost us almost $2,000. They would do nothing to help.

Took a used Explorer I just purchased to Riser to be serviced and inspected. Asked for a new key to be coded and to check a coolant leak. The vehicle was serviced, rear shocks replaced, two front links replaced, and the transmission flushed. The bill was over $1800. I was charged $220 for a pressure test of the cooling system , $68 for an upper radiator hose, and $128 to flush and fill the cooling system. Drove the vehicle about 50 miles , checked the cooling system and the radiator istsel was almost empty. Added coolant, took it back to Riser, and was told the thermostat housing was cracked. $680 later I got the car back (even charged for more new coolant that leaked out because of inferior repair work) . Was told the manifold had to be removed to change the thermostat housing wish it doesn't (Google it). The housing leak was directly under the $68 upper hose which the car didn't need. Brought the car home and checked the coolant recovery tank, it was bone dry. Checked the radiator pressure cap and found that it held no pressure. For a $220 labor, 2 hour pressure test (that I could do at home with my tester in about 5 minutes), one would think that the system was checked properly, including the pressure cap. Now I have to worry about the quality of any other work done to the car at Riser since they obviously have no quality control of their repair work. They may be okay when you purchase a new vehicle that doesn't need diagnosed or repaired, but be warned about poor quality of repair work and their diagnostic abilities.

I tried it a brand new Volkswagen $37,000 beetle for a 2014 6 cylinder Mustang had no oil on the stick had bad tires the right front blew out while carrying my grandkids salesman said the tires were in good shape I didn't look the air conditioner don't work headlights switch quits occasionally headlights would turn themselves off at night transmission fluid was low brakes need to be replaced worst car experience I ever had embarrassing that a dealer can get away with this kind of rip off I advise people to stay away from Trotter Ford they are rip your head off and then will not even contact you

Top Cat (Tom) got me the Escape I wanted, Steve worked the deal, Tom made sure I got all the discounts I qualified for, and Shannon, what can I say about this financial guru? Well, he could not have made the process any smoother. A few signatures and initials and I was on my way! I told them how much my monthly payment has to be for me to get a vehicle from them. I even said I know my credit isn't great but if I can't get lower payments than what I have now then I can't do anything. I was called by the salesman and was told that to get my monthly payment I need I would have to put x amount down. I told him I can't do it but thanks for trying. He called me back a few hrs later telling me he can get me my payment with no down. I went up there and hit the vehicle we loved it and was very excited. He told me since it was Saturday night he can't get the paper work I need to sign and to just take it home and come back in Monday and sign the paper work. Monday came around I called to see if the paperwork was ready and he said yes. When I asked him about the payments they where $100 more than I am currently paying and $200 more than what he told me it would be on Saturday. I guess they thought that If I took it home I would fall in love with it and accept that ridiculous payment. Thanks Crain for wasting my time especially and causing me to drive 45 miles 90 miles round trip for nothing especially when you knew what my max payment I could afford was before I came in. All you had to do was tell me the truth on Saturday. Therefore I will never do business with Crain again and I will tell anyone I know who is looking for a vehicle about my horrible experience.

Run away as fast as you can. My Daughter bought a Mustang with a salvage title, and yes I know salvage title vehicles are "as-is". However, the car was bought based on the carfax which showed it was totaled due to non-collision damage and there were no mention of the airbags ever being deployed. Fast forward 6 months later and when we attempted to have the airbags replaced via recall, it was discovered that though the airbags were present, the device that deploys them was missing (clockspring) and that the control modules and sensors would have to be replaced as well due to the airbags have been deployed at some point. When I called Hope auto to discuss this ($1300 to get the airbags working again) they were rude and completely uninteresting in standing behind what they sell (in this case a death trap to a 19 year old), and I ended up hanging up on them as they are worthless after the sale. I'll add that we let them do an oil change once on the car after it was bought (They stated a system check showed everything was fine....lies) and they cross threaded the drain plug so on the subsequent oil change the plug was difficult to remove and had to be replaced. That pretty much show the competency of the service department...if they can't do an oil change right then they probably can't do anything else right either! Incompetent liars that sell lemons and deathtraps....stay away!

I gave this dealer the absolute lowest rating I could. Our visit to this dealership to purchase 2 vehicles ended at the police station filing a report on the Sales Manager. After a price could not be reached at the price the salesman first asked if we would pay today for, we decided to walk way without buying the two vehicles. As my wife left the office of the salesman, she was confronted by the sales manager and the salesman. The sales manager told her that she signed a contract and had to go through buying one of the 2 vehicles being discussed. The hand written page she signed on an otherwise blank page stated we would buy both vehicles for a set price if the dealer could accept that price... the salesman circled the one vehicle's info on the page and said we were under contract to buy the one. My wife walked away with the copy of the hand written statement and was followed out the door by both salesman and manager to our car. I began to drive away when both employees started banging on our window and standing so close to the car I was unable to safely drive away. I stepped out of the car and asked that they move back so I can leave. The sales manager then walked across the parking lot to confront me again at the exit of the lot. Less than a minute later he called me on my cell phone and continued to be rude. I informed him I was heading to the police station to address the way my wife was treated, harassed and cornered and that I would like the copies of our personal information back. He said I was "not going to get a xxxx thing...". At the police station he turned over the paperwork to the police officer and we were on our way.

De queen ford also sells new dodges. I bought my car in march from a different dealership and have had nothing but problems out of it. I live closer to de queen than the dealership I purchased it from so when it began having more steering problems I took it to them to work on it. They said there was nothing wrong w it. A week later my traction control went out and i couldn't control thr car at all and it would barely move. My breaks also went out. Roadside assistance came and got the car and took it back to them and it has sat on their lot for over a week now and they haven't even looked at it. They have yet to get us a rental and we spent 2 hours on the phone today trying to arrange a pick up for one. The owner was very rude and the service manager who has been there less than a week has no clue what he is doing. Then they informed us and I quote "we take care of our own here and we would appreciate it if you had the dealership you purchased the car from come pick it up off our lot" basically saying they would not service my car and they wanted nothing to do with it. They treated my mother and me like we were inferior and we didn't know what we were talking about. We informed them that this isn't the first time the car has been in the shop for serious issues and it wasn't our first rodeo. We know our warranty rights and they will never get our business again. Baboons could do their job better.
