I have been a long time customer of Dayton Toyota Sales and Service. I recently took my GR86 in for an oil change and tire rotation. During the service, the tech discovered the oil service place I went to previously stripped the drain plug threads in the oil pan. Not Dayton Toyota’s fault, and the repair is appropriately on me to pay. As this car has a Subaru engine, oil pan is complex and labor intensive to replace.
They were so understanding and compassionate about my need to replace the oil pan at my own cost and my unexpected loss of access to a daily driving vehicle, they gave me a loaner car for as long as I needed it.
Peter Spano, my service advisor, went above and beyond. He kept me informed, took pictures and wrote up details of damage for me to seek reimbursement from prior oil change facility who did the damage. Tom Kozak, the Service Manager, supported Peter in anything he asked for to help me. They are an amazing team and treated me with grace and dignity.
Peter went on vacation before my car repair was finished. He completely transitioned all the details to another service advisor, Steve, who continued the excellent service and finished the process, delivered my car back to me fully functional, and even did some work on my Camry previously scheduled with Peter.
Long story. I share details because I had a great service experience as I always have had in the past. Highly recommend Tom, Peter, and Steve at Dayton Toyota for your service needs.
