However when the time came when I was ready to get figures on financing and find out how much they would give me for a trade in allowance is when the tables turned. I was given an extremely low-ball figure of $500 on my trade in by the sales manager, Isaac Soberon. Two weeks previous to this, the dealership across the street gave me a trade in value of $2800. After insisting that I wouldn't do any business with them for such a low figure, that's when I was introduced to Isaac. After several back-and-forth debates about why my trade-in came in so low, Isaac magically decided he would give me $2000 for my trade in. Isaac is arrogant, demeaning and just plain rude. He treated me as if I was an idiot opposed to an informed consumer and continued pressuring me to make a sale despite my insistence that I wanted to look at my budget and do further research on the car I was interested in. Isaac ended up allowing me to take the car home to try it out, which I did. After careful consideration of the car and if the payments would fit in my budget, I decided it was best to wait on purchasing the car. I came back the next day with the car to return it (on a Sunday). The first thing that Isaac said to me was, "I just gave you the car yesterday and now you are making us come in to work on Sunday?" I'm making them come in on Sunday... Last time I checked, they were open on Sunday, so where's the problem? THEY didn't have to take the car from me. I could have easily given it to an employee who was scheduled to work that day.
Bottom line: Casell was awesome, I have no complaints about his professionalism. As for Isaac, I don't know how you can sell cars if you are so blatantly rude to your customers. I was warned about Borman and their hostility towards their customers, now that I have experienced it first-hand, I doubt I will return. This tactic that most dealerships abide by, of trying to get the customer emotional about the purchase is unethical and I truly believe some sort of regulation should be in place to prevent this behavior.
