A long time ago and it was a dealership who cared about people. Not anymore. I get better service and response from Lexus and Cadillac. It's a shame, even though the Infiniti is not a better car, it is a nicer car to drive. A little customer service can go a LONG way.

The service advisors like to pressure you into paying for "recommended" services. "Recommended" translates to stuff that you do not need but are good way to milk the unknowing consumer. Granted there are some recommendations that they make that are reasonable, but they like to take advantage of people who do not know much about cars and capitalize on their ignorance.
The final straw that broke the camel's back for me was when I took my car to get inspected. I have a 2005 G35x that had about 13k miles on it and had it serviced in late 2006. I get a call from the service advisor that my brakes were failing b/c they fell below 2/32nds (requirement to pass is above that). I ask him how is that possible? He stated that they were and I told him do not do anything to my car and that I was going to have it looked at by an independent mechanic. I took my car to my gf's father (Toyota mechanic) and he took off all the pads to measure. Guess what, they were all 4/32nds and above. Not failing as Infiniti of WG had said.
So I bought aftermarket pads and installed it myself and brought it back to get reinspected which was an unneccessary inconvenience! I showed the service advisor my old pads and told him to go measure it. Once he came back from the service center, he told me that the pads were all passing and sorry for the mis-information. He offered to either give me a free oil change or a refund for the inspection...I chose the later.
In short, the service center will try and con you b/c they know that a majority of their customers do not know jack about cars or care enough to bring it to another shop. Unfortunately for them, I change my own oil, replace air filters, cabin filter, etc. all on my own b/c I'm a car enthusiast.
I now take my car to a local German Auto Shop around my area that always gives me great service and doesn't feed me any bull about what I need.
One pro that I can give is the sales men there are okay to deal with and gave me great pricing up front without too much hangling. We bough two G35x from there and couldn't be happier.
