Non responsive and unethical - Tif_bus

I purchased a vehicle sight unseen from out of state. I was looking for something very specific and they are hard to come by. Understanding that a used vehicle will have repairs needed and that it is an as-is situation is something I was fully aware of. I did, however, ask what was "wrong" with the vehicle or what needed work on it. I knew something had to be up with extensive repairs when I saw how long this vehicle had been sitting on their lot. I specifically pointed the length of time out to Ixel during our conversations initially because it worried me. I was told that nothing was wrong and nothing needed done. When the vehicle arrived, the first drive off the truck and into town the check engine light came on. I immediately took it in to find out that this car had a bad heating element (literally making it unable to be driven without risk of overheating). This alone should have been told to me- not to mention that it could not have been driven in this state-it was completely faulty- meaning a light was reset on this vehicle before being shipped to me. I was not told about the brakes being at only 20% (nothing that would have deterred me from buying a 50K mileage vehicle but should have been told to me). I was not told about the bad Nitrogen Oxide Sensor, which again would have been setting off the check engine light. And, I was not told about a leak in the oil cooler seal-which should have been seen easily in their inspection on the lot. When I reached back out with the initial findings and quote I was told by Ixel that, "we won't leave you hanging like that" ...since I am well over $5000 now to fix all of these items I should have been told about up front. Once my situation was taken to the manager I was told to get a second quote they thought the one I had gotten was high, so I did, and submitted that quote to them as well. No response. So, apparently, they are leaving me hanging like that. I know I took a risk buying sight unseen, and I did expect some repairs on a used vehicle. In fact, I told Ixel that I would be happy with the costs of the faulty heating element reimbursed and nothing else, since I know they had to of known about this issue, and that the rest is reasonable for me to cover. I also told her even though the rest are reasonable-they should have been upfront about the issues when I asked. Again, no response from Ixel or her manager. Terrible ethics-they lied to me, no doubt about it, to unload a vehicle out of state. They told me when I first called that they would make it right- and now since sending in all my quotes they won't respond. I would not recommend buying from them without an extensive test drive and detailed inspection from a third party. They can't be trusted and they won't make it right.

As soon as my husband and I pulled up to this place we should've just pulled back out and left. First of all, what kind of low class establishment has NO parking availability...I mean NONE. We turned in only to see that their lot was a cluster-f@&^! We had to back out and park at the building next door and walk down a hill to the dealership. Once we walked inside we were greeted right away by a female employee, which we informed her that we were wanting to do a test drive on a 2010 Kia Soul they had available. She made a copy of my DL and I signed a form then we followed her out to the vehicle so she could put a dealer tag on it. She immediately walked away after doing so and just handed me the keys as she started walking away. I pushed the unlock button on the key fob and of course, it didn't work. So I used the actual key to unlock it but then had to literally suck in as much as I physically could just to squeeze into the car because, as I stated before, there was NO ROOM on the lot and the car parked next to this one was too close for the door to open any more than a good 2 feet. I think I should add here that I have previously worked at a larger car dealership for a few years so I am not uneducated as to how one should conduct their business. Once inside the vehicle my husband and I were instantly shocked at how a dealership could allow customers to see just how little they apparently care about their merchandise because the car was absolutely filthy. It clearly had not been detailed at all since there were disgusting buildup of years worth of dirt, grime and food/beverage spillage. This was not only evident on the interior seating but also pretty much every surface inside it. Even though this particular vehicle was obviously not even going to be considered by us as a potential purchase, I was pleasantly surprised by how much I loved the way the car drove. We made it down the road from East Six Forks Rd. to the Jersey Mike's at the corner of Peace St. and Capital Boulevard when the ridiculous experience with this place got even more so! As I was turning left to merge onto capital boulevard off of Peace St. the car sputters out and completely stops, IN THE MIDDLE OF THE INTERSECTION!!! Why would it do this you're probably wondering? Because this brilliant car dealership sent us off on a test drive without even checking the amount of gas in it and it ran completely out of gas!! Due to my expectations for such a business I didn't even think twice about it possibly being low on gas. So, thankfully a man and woman stopped and helped my husband push it while I steered it into the Jersey Mike's parking lot and out of the traffic that certainly gave no thought to the dangers of continuing to drive while we were trying to push a vehicle out of the way. We called the dealership and explained to them what had happened and they didn't even offer an apology as they made it painful as xxxx trying to tell them where exactly we were, since of course they "couldn't understand or hear what I was saying". After about five minutes of yelling into the phone until they got the address they said they were sending someone out. We stood in what felt like 1000 degree weather, sweating our butts off, while we waited for the person to show up. I was so angry I made the guy drive that vehicle back while we drove the truck he showed up in back there. I had my husband go inside and return the keys to the truck because I was fuming at how ridiculous and incompetent this business was ran. I would definitely NOT recommend anyone going here.

I am very picky person and I was caught off guard needing to buy a car. I took my time to get all dealers that sell Lexus cars. Listen!!! You don’t have to deal directly with main dealerships, there are small dealers that buy great luxury cars. They are very nice and not intimidating at Panciuos .... they took great care of me. I didn’t have to go anywhere else. Lexus dealer was rude and I refused to give them my business, So for all my Lexus Lovers go to Pancios you won’t regret it.

Customer service is pathetic. We have tried over 20+ calls and emails with no response. We are still missing license and title 60+ days since purchase. Temporary plate expired and after some research, the title still shows car owned by previous owner according to state records. Only good thing is i have proof of purchase so we will see what these guys do to rectify situation.

I purchased a vehicle from Gateway Houston and my opinion I would stir clear of doing business with this organization. The car at first sight looked like a million dollar baby but upon purchasing it, it has now revealed the beauty and the beast. The sales description of the vehicle was hyped up to the hilt with statements highly inflated and totally inaccurate. A clear case of misrepresentation. I initially requested to test drive the vehicle but it was stated to me that I could not test drive it and if I did then I bought the vehicle. That is the point I should have walked away. They are asking top dollar with hyped up information about the vehicle and you are not allowed to test drive the vehicle? I find that odd. It was not until I requested again that I was allowed to drive the car but only in the parking lot which is NOT in my estimation a true test drive. Not knowing what to expect from the vehicle, the test drive did not reveal the issues with the vehicle that I would have discovered had I been able to take it under highway conditions. And it is only after I had purchased it that the problems with the vehicle surfaced. I attempted to get in touch with the companies that were involved in building the vehicle of which one had gone out of business. The other, I was able to track down a person that had worked with the first shop and had quit and gone to work for the second involved shop in Houston. I got as much information as possible to further evaluate the vehicle and they did correct and finish out some of the issues requiring additional funds. I picked up the vehicle from the second shop and went out for a test drive. The first thing noticeable was the noise of a throwout bearing going out. I was told it was the turbo. Then the second a worrisome issues was coming from the rear end. It was a whining sound indicated wear in the rear end assembly. I was told “I would have to live with it”. Not something I wanted to hear. In accordance with Gateway’s description of the vehicle: “With almost 30 pages of receipts detailing new nuts bolts fasteners seals weatherstrip gaskets jute carpet trim; well you can just about name it - this car now looks and feels fresh from the factory but its way better! If something wasn’t right or didn’t work it was fixed replaced or custom-fabricated.” NOT! I bought the vehicle in December 2022 and I have had 0 moments of pleasure with the vehicle. It has been a real problem in my life. It is presently in an auto shop of which after going on a test drive with the owner of the shop it will require removing the transmission and rear end to locate what is producing the NOT normal issues. Again more $$$$ being applied to the vehicle. Gateway has misrepresented the vehicle badly and proves to me that they do not have the ethics or honesty to back up what they misrepresented. I received the less than 30 pages of invoice from the original owner only after I purchased the vehicle which had I had the documents and a proper test drive before I could have made a more informed decision as to whether to purchase it or not. Again I cannot express my experience with Gateway enough, DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH GATEWAY! BUYER BEWARE! Signed: Pissed and Upset!
