I had no intention on purchasing a car when I walked in but the rebates made it a deal I couldn’t refuse. Although not the primary business, he has the skill, knowledge, latest technical tools to address most issues. Level of service is of exceptional using quality parts installed as if it was his own vehicle. Never any shortcuts or quick fixes. Repairs are done for the long haul.

Our experience with this dealership has been a nightmare. If I could leave negative stars, I would. Before I divulge I want to note that I have read past negative reviews and am aware that the dealership will likely respond with excuses and try to put the blame on the customer. Don’t assume this dealership will sell regularly serviced vehicles, or even service it before you receive it, even they assure you that it is. Get proof. Insist on seeing service records prior to purchasing. Insist on seeing the full paper trail of titles also, or you will run into issues at the DMV. This dealership tries to use a ‘good cop/bad cop’ approach with their sales reps/manager which is beyond unprofessional. Employees made promises, but then the manager stepped in and tried to blame us for misuse more than once or insisted that promises made by an employee were baseless, implying that we were lying. We were led to believe that the vehicle we purchased had been properly serviced and would be safe for us. Within a couple weeks, returning to the dealer, as the alternator needed replaced. When buying the vehicle, it would not start originally, and they told us they threw a new battery in and it would be fine. They replaced the alternator and we discovered the vehicle had been sold to us without a spare and we were given one out of a different Honda on their lot. Just a week later check engine light came on and the car seemed to be misfiring, going into “limp mode”. The dealership was contacted immediately the next day, and we were told to drive the vehicle to them. Despite driving the car carefully, as one would with a 10+ year-old vehicle, the dealership blamed us for misuse, and diagnosed a blown head gasket, stating we would need a new engine. The owner blamed me for "overheating the vehicle" and implied that I didn't know enough about vehicles because I am a woman. A nearby mechanic, authorized to perform work under the warranty, did an overall check of the vehicle for a $200 fee. They found the oil had been overfilled They drained excess oil and there were no further problems with the vehicle after a lengthy drive, however they did note that numerous maintenance services needed addressed that had NOT been done as the dealership had promised prior to sale, including multiple fluid changes/flushes. The dealership wanted to see for themselves if really needed to be done. They took the vehicle back into their possession and decided to loan us a replacement vehicle to use, as we needed a vehicle to drive back to our home 90 minutes away. Again, we made the assumption that this loaner vehicle was roadworthy and safe.. Keep in mind, this loaner vehicle is listed for sale on their site. While driving the loaner car blew a rear tire. We noticed that this tire, and the opposite tire, had been wearing unevenly, and that both rear wheels seemed to be cambered in to cause that uneven wear. We were nearly 90 minutes from the dealership, so there was no way for us to expect them to come get their car. To our shock, when we went change tire, there was no spare When we contacted the dealership with our situation of being stranded with their undriveable car, (Rod) told us to get a tow truck to get the vehicle back to them, promising they would be there to receive it and cover the cost. The tow arrived with the vehicle at night, where he wasnot met by Rod. Rod told the tow truck driver he would be there, however no one was there, nor did anyone answer the phone so he returned to his tow yard with vehicle. The following day my husband spoke with Ameen who insisted that they did NOT authorize this tow, and were insisting that we pay the $2200 tow bill, and threatening to not return our Honda to us until we paid AND somehow got their undriveable vehicle back to them! They knew they had him between a rock and a hard place, as we had no transportation with two children and infant. with no help from them we had to arrange getting the vehicle back to them, paying for

Not sure I am on the correct website to write a review for First Team Subaru Norfolk, but here it goes. I purchased a 2026 Forester with my specifications on April 3, 2026 from salesman Keith Fulton. Since this vehicle was not in stock at the dealership, they found what I wanted from another location. Keith notified me that the vehicle would be ready on April 7. I went to Keith’s office to complete the sale which was seamless. I must mention that since the summer of 2019, I have purchased two new vehicles every year. For the last two purchases, Keith was my salesman. Even though he was not my salesman in the beginning, he always greeted me when I came into the dealership. Again on this purchase, Keith explained First Team Subaru Forever and took me to my new vehicle. I must say I truly appreciate Keith. He is very personable and easy to talk with. There is no pressure when making a deal. Keith also contacted me after my 2025 Crosstrek purchase in April of 2025 every few weeks to date to see how I personally was doing. I find this very refreshing to know I’m not just a number. Keith is like family, and I very much appreciate him. The TEAM at this dealership is outstanding. I hope to do future business with Keith. YOU’RE THE MAN KEITH!!!!!

I had the worst experience every with dese people I brought a 1996 Lexus drove it home got up the next day drove it out the car was overheating so I call them they said it wasn't doing it yea rit I paid cash for dis car and cnt even drive it took it to the shop only to find out it need head gasket maybe a engine. The car is a piece of junk and so is the dealer they sale car as is so now I got a car that I can't drive & I'm stuck with it. Please stay away from these people.

Harriet Salley Auto is the best! I actually applied online,didn't expect a response because I didn't have A+ credit. But Harriet called me and asked me to come in, I did a few days later and drove off in a nice truck which was 4yrs old. No problem getting financed and not a lot down.

The staff was very helpful, especially Roger. The place was clean and the car was clean and well taken care of. I took the vehicle to a 3rd party mechanic for a pre-purchase inspection before buying it and he couldn't find anything major wrong with it, even saying it would last 15 more years. The few minor things found were meticulously taken care of by the team and repaired instantly. This was an amazing experience and I'd 100% recommend it to any of my friends or family!

The salesman that contacted me was very short with me on the phone, if he was busy he could've called when he wasn't. I have been to the lot before and they are very rude and the cars are really not all they say they are. I was giving them another chance. I told him I was gonna come in to do a test drive but I ultimately didn't go because on the cars.com app you can put in a lower down payment and it tells you the monthly payment. The car I was looking at was 3995, they want at least $1000 down, why? If people had it like that they would go somewhere with better cars. And this was on a 15 year old car!! Do not waste your time dealing with this dealership honestly. It's not worth it.

Dealer salesman Sam met me and was very professional, helpful and efficient in making the sale. When I discovered there was no spare tire and contacted Sam, he was willing to pay for the wheel (not in the original contract). The car as detailed and presented is a very good buy and the sales process was very expedient and professional. I recommend buying a car from Virginia Fine Cars.

My recent experiences with Advantage Certified Service and Sales have motivated me to write this review. I was attracted to Advantage Certified while searching for a specific car and found it on their web site. The site described the business model and the values by which they operate - selling and maintaining superlative products while providing superlative service and support to their customers. The site also contained comprehensive information on inventory items and many photos thoroughly depicting their cars. I called and spoke to Pauline, made arrangements to visit and had a very enjoyable experience seeing and test driving the car. I found all as was advertised and Pauline was knowledgeable and professional. I also enjoyed discussing Advantage Certified with John, who underscored the philosophy and values of the company. As a CEO who shares those same values, I found much I identified with and appreciated the candor and professionalism as well as the time John provided to my purchasing experience. My experience with Sean in Finance was equally informative and professional. In fact, my experience discussing the car was such a pleasant experience, I agreed to terms that same day. However, my experience didn't end there. Advantage Certified promises to deliver as nearly a perfect car as can be delivered. Consequently, I was told that I would need to wait a couple of days while a seal was replaced and overall service was completed. I then picked up the car, drove it home and activated the Sat Radio to find that there was a problem with the manufacturer's installed antenna. I then brought the car back. Andrew and Glenn handled the case, kept me informed during the assessment of the problem, gave me a loaner, and kept me informed of progress. Advantage Certified ordered replacement parts, coordinated issues with XM on my behalf, and solved the problem at no cost to me. If that isn't enough, while the car was test driven, it was discovered that the air condition compressor was not operational. Bryan, the Service Director, informed me that Advantage Certified had already ordered the new parts and that they would take care of the issue, again at no cost to me. While I need to wait a few extra days to pick up my car, I will take possession of the car in near perfect condition, saving about a $4K service bill, and thanks to a loaner, at no detriment to my logistical requirements. Needless to say, Advantage Certified has secured my patronage for many years to come - for service and future car purchases. There is no question in my mind that Advantage Certified has an established and understood corporate culture, values that are evident in the conduct and professionalism of its employees, and policies that are executed in keeping with advertised objectives.
