Thank you for the positive review of my service staff.I invite you and the registered buyer to come in and review the NJ used vehicle limited warranty.The length of the warranty depends on the used motor vehicle’s mileage.and model year.I've included a partial excerpt of the NJ used vehicle dealer warranty. ■ a motor vehicle has 24,000 miles or less on its odometer, the dealer must provide the customer with a warranty for 90 days or 3,000 miles, whichever comes first. ■ a motor vehicle has more than 24,000 miles but less than 60,000 miles on its odometer, the dealer must provide the customer with a warranty for 60 days or 2,000 miles, whichever comes first. ■ a motor vehicle has between 60,000 and 100,000 miles on its odometer, the dealer must provide the customer with a warranty for 30 days or 1,000 miles, whichever comes first. Note: In negotiating a better price for the vehicle, consumers may waive their right to a warranty. The vehicle must have more than 60,000 miles on its odometer and the waiver must be in writing. WHAT IS NOT COVERED BY THE LAW? ■ Motor vehicles sold for less than $3,000 ■ Motor vehicles which are more than seven (7) model years old ■ Motor vehicles that have been declared a total loss by an insurance company ■ Motor vehicles that have odometer readings of more than 100,000 miles ■ Motor vehicles that were not purchased from a dealer ■ Motor vehicles that were sold “As Is.” used-car-lemon-law • Revised 01/04/24 Please ask the registered buyer to examine the sale documents that he received as part of the sales agreement A copy of the Warranty was signed and included.Hopefully this is of help to you and the registered buyer understand that there was nothing deceiving of the sales team or my part. Hi This Ray, Gen Manager at Route 17 Mitsubishi. The NJ used vehicle state mandated limited warranty is clear and specific to what is covered and the time of the coverage for every vehicle based on miles and model years.If the vehicle in question has more that 60/100k miles and or 7 years or more of age the coverage is not mandated.In this case, I had the main office review the file to be certain that the warranty if any was explained and that the customer had signed to the applicable terms after reviewing it.The dealership will issue a 30 day powertrain only warranty that had expired by more than 5 days.I also want make clear that the repair in question was a valve and a sensor which are not covered.I sympathize with the reviewers personal health situation and ultimately covered the repair cost internally. Now Reyes my vehicle was there 3 weeks and I did not receive 1 return phone call out of the 10 that I made directly to you . Repeat what you told me today in the showroom " that you were to busy to return my calls" . I'm sticking to what I said about you. Read the reviews Reyes someone actually posted your picture with the caption " This is Reye avoid at all costs" . I'm obviously not the first but hopefully the last . Again your not a nice man . I'm just beyond grateful for the AMAZING service department 🙏 top notch .
