We purchased a 2022 41 FT 5th wheel trailer we realized we would need a dependable truck to tow it with. We stated that we needed a dependable vehicle to pull a 41 FT trailer. We were shown the 2019 Silverado. After test driving the truck I gave a list of minor issues to be addressed and agreed to purchase the vehicle which included our trade rolled in for $73K. Within the first two weeks I experienced an injector issue that reduced the engine power. Within the next two weeks the tensioner belt snapped and I lost power steering, brakes and had reduced engine power while turning into oncoming traffic. Two weeks later I had an injector issue again and again three weeks later. Thankfully we were not towing our trailer during these issues. Their service department was great at trying to solve the issues and eventually sent the truck to Morgan Chevrolet who did fix the injector issue. My issue is when I presented the problem of having multiple mechanical issues to Elder Ford Management they simply wanted to sell me another vehicle and roll this "Lemon" truck into the deal which meant I would still be paying for this crap. I did reach out to an attorney to pursue a Lemon Law Lawsuit, but was informed in Florida they can only pursue a case if you are having issues with the warranty company. I wish Elder Ford Management would have been honorable and recognize that they sold us a "Lemon" and take the vehicle back and allow us to purchase a quality vehicle. No company is willing to finance us with the added debt of this lemon attached. We believe they took the truck in on a trade and simply washed it and slapped some armor on it and placed it on the sales lot without performing a proper mechanical and safety inspection. Unfortunately we are now stuck with a vehicle that we have no confidence in. More
