Mr. Alam is the best sales manager you’ll ever find at any dealership. As a first time car buyer, I was very disheartened and exhausted by the time I came to Legend Nissan. I had come to this dealership a any dealership. As a first time car buyer, I was very disheartened and exhausted by the time I came to Legend Nissan. I had come to this dealership after having at least 4 unpleasant experiences back to back at other dealerships in Long Island. Mr. Alam took away all my worries because he patiently and thoroughly answered all of my questions on vehicle, availability and warranty. He was straightforward and made sure I was always comfortable. After listening to what I needed and wanted, he found the perfect car for me and set up the test drive immediately. The transaction was much more smooth than I expected and it is truly because of the exceptional and diligent customer service. Him and his team got me the best rate for financing and the car was ready for me to pick up in 24 hours. SO happy with my Nissan Rogue. Upon settling on a final sale price on a new ’23 Frontier, I was led to the finance department to finalize the deal where I discovered that the “final sale price" we had agreed on was marked up over $1,000.00! This was not by fault of the finance department. The agreed sales price was approved by my sales rep Matthew Pisarz along with his manager Ashraful Alam. And they provided the finance department with that incorrect sales figure. They claim it was an accident. But this is just one of the many tactics that you hear car dealers try and pull and never think will happen to you. BUT IT WILL AT LEGEND NISSAN! Before leaving this review I have contacted Matt expressing my dissatisfaction, the livid dirty feeling you have when you have just been taken advantage of, and he pleaded with me that he wanted to make it right. I asked how he wished to do so, and he proceeded to offer me all-weather floor mat. What a joke. And the kicker…my vehicle already came with them! Do a little research before blindly throwing money/products at an issue to try and make it go away. After many phone calls with Matt attempting to speak with his manager, Alam, he would continuously ask me what I wanted to make it right. What I wanted was not to feel taken. What I wanted was to be heard and for fault to be admitted, but they were not willing to do that. I eventually realized that if I did not state “what I want”, in terms of goods/services, I wasn’t going to walk away with any type of reasonable resolution, because they weren’t going to make this right on their own accord. So I asked for items that I was going to purchase myself, additional tie-down anchors/cleats as well as utili-tracks for the bed floor. All Nissan items, nothing 3rd party. Now that I stated terms, as unpleased as I was that I was more or less forced to do so, I then and only then received a call back from Matt’s manger, Alam. I explained my story to him, he heard me out and apologized for this happening, and said that he will talk to his boss to see if he can get me those items. And that he would call me back in 2 days. Well 2 days came and went, despite my attempts to get Alam on the phone by reaching out to Matt and the general dealer phone number. The 3rd day, I had to call to get Alam on the phone, only for him to offer me 4 tie-down anchors/cleats for this inconvenience. A total of a $200 value. Are you kidding me? I declined the offer and he said that it was the best he could offer. After this experience happened to me, I looked up reviews and found other customers with THE SAME EXACT STORY! I was in shock. I should have looked up reviews before going there. Do your research people, it does matter! Frankly, at the end of this entire experience, I am disgusted that the team at Legend Nissan attempts tactics like this with their customers. And they probably get away with it a lot of the time too. They claim to want to do right by their customers and what to gain customers for life, not just one time purchases. Well…this is certainly not the way to do that. Do better. More
