I can't say enough good things about my experience with purchasing a Corolla Cross from Bobby Higgins. I had stopped at a dealer closer to me but didn't like how I was treated by the sales man. Then I reca purchasing a Corolla Cross from Bobby Higgins. I had stopped at a dealer closer to me but didn't like how I was treated by the sales man. Then I recalled having a positive experience with Bobby when both my daughter and I bought cars in 2009. I was thrilled to find out he was still there. The process was odd due to supply shortage but Bobby was great throughout. I would highly recommend him. More

We just leased our fourth Toyota from Bobby, and are continually impressed by his service. He is helpful, knowledgeable and we always feel comfortable dealing with him. Bobby’s patience in educating me about Toyota’s models and their differences was exemplary. Not only are there almost zero hybrid vehicles available without a custom order, but it was his first day back i and their differences was exemplary. Not only are there almost zero hybrid vehicles available without a custom order, but it was his first day back in the office and he had piles of files waiting. Nonetheless he answered all of my questions and showed me the inventory challenges in the market. I had no intention to buy a RAV4 while waiting for maintenance on my old Highlander, but I did. And now after weeks of waiting, which Bobby prepared me for, I’ve got the new car and couldn’t be happier. I had no idea how much more I could get in a car! Thanks for the patience during that first meeting, and excellent communications during shipping and upon delivery. It was a great experience I will repeat down the road. More

Very positive experience at a tough time for buying a car. My Prius was totalled just before Thanksgiving, and I quickly learned that finding a new Prius could take many months, and finding any comparab car. My Prius was totalled just before Thanksgiving, and I quickly learned that finding a new Prius could take many months, and finding any comparable car was going to be tough. I ended up working with a variety of folks at Maplewood Toyota, and the (Janie Thao over e-mail, then a team of folks who helped find possibilities, and finally Bobby at the end). I ended up with a Camry LE Hybrid in three weeks -- not the color I'd like, but otherwise pretty close to exactly what I'd want. The plusses -- everyone seemed to keep in mind my goals and plans. We never were asked to discuss financing (we had a pre-approved credit union loan), they quickly accepted "no" as an answer on dealer add-ons. The process was fairly quick (for buying a car) -- the first visit was maybe 40 minutes to go through possibilities. Follow-ups by e-mail. Once the car was in, the test-drive visit was perhaps 50 minutes (test drive plus a bunch of paperwork to get purchase agreement and title application for the credit union), and the final session to pay, pick up the car, etc. was 40-45 minutes. Everyone was very nice. And (perhaps owing to the fact that there really wasn't any room for negotiation with a line of ready buyers if we didn't take the car), the pricing was fair (compared to quotes I'd seen elsewhere). On the negative side, two main complaints. First, the overall process is still too awkward and frankly not confidence-inspiring. The person I dealt with by e-mail doesn't handle in-person, so each time I was assigned a salesperson. Neither was there (good reasons) and it seemed like a surprise to them each time to have to find someone to help me. Compared to previous experiences, this was less "possessive" but still awkward. Second, even though all the taxes, fees, turned out to be correct and reasonable, the process of explaining them (and calculating them) is awkward. I don't understand why they can't actually give you the numbers quickly (seems like the only variable is which county you're in), and there were fees that popped up (electronic transfer fee) that don't actually make sense until someone explains them. This could be simplified. One suggestion -- there are a bunch of settings that can be done for the car -- wouldn't it be nice to send a checklist ahead and allow the buyer to select how they want the car configured (especially for ones that aren't user-settable!). Overall, very positive, and I wouldn't hesitate to go back there. I just hope the next time won't be during a supply crisis, and there will be time to search and/or wait for exact car I want. More

Bobby was great to work with. Very knowledgeable, laid back, and not at all pushy. I never once felt like I was being railroaded, or “sold” a vehicle, but rather assisted with my purchase by a professiona back, and not at all pushy. We had a great experience working with Bobby at Maplewood Toyota. It was a straightforward process and Bobby and the team were not pushy trying upsell us on extras or more expensive packages. Bobby was very knowledgeable, friendly and understood what our goals were when looking for a new vehicle.
