Matthew - I apologize that you continue to feel you were charged for these products. As noted in my email to you, outlining all the figures from your lease, you were given four products with 2-year coverage at no additional cost to you. To activate them for you, the selling price of the vehicle was reduced by the cost of each product, allowing them to be itemized. Please let me know if you did not receive this documentation, and I will gladly send it to another address, mail it to you, or review it with you in person.

If that were truly so then why did you send me a check to refund the "free" maintenance agreement? Give me a break. Once again the car already had the ability to locate itself if stolen. 699 dollars for LoJack and nothing was installed because again Subaru can locate the car right in the app. I've posted the entire deal to social media. Let's see what other dealers and other buyers think about it. I'm done with Kenny Ross. Not even for warranty.

Buyers noted this was frustrating because modern Subaru vehicles already feature built-in location tracking and navigation options through the factory Starlink system.Paint Protectors & Clear Coats: Customers reported that environmental paint protection packages were applied to the vehicle and added to the bill without explicit prior consent.Extended Warranties: Some buyers mentioned finding vague or unauthorized warranty and service packages tacked onto the total financing package.The Sales Tactics Described by BuyersThe "Digital Document" Rush: Reviewers state that the finance department presents these charges at the very end of the car buying process on digital screens or tablets. Customers reported that staff explained these items quickly or implied they were "already paid for" or included at no cost, only for the buyer to discover an extra $1,700 to $5,000 added to the loan balance later.Last-Minute Overwhelm: Several complaints emphasize that these add-ons are introduced at the exact moment of vehicle delivery or when the buyer is fatigued from hours of negotiating, making it easier to overlook the extra fees.Difficulty with Refunds: Buyers who noticed the charges after the fact and tried to cancel the optional add-ons reported that the dealership was slow to process cancellations, often leaving them fighting to recover thousands of dollars.
