David Melo at Elk Grove Subaru

Customer service was excellent. On our first visit to Elk Grove Subaru we met Dave Melo. He was friendly and easy to talk with. Our objective was to get a physical idea of the models available from Subaru and be home for the playoff games. Dave was very knowledgeable of the cars mechanically and otherwise. This pleased me as I did research on their ranking with reporting agencies etc. Dave verified a lot of what I read and I learned many other details about Subarus. The best thing was when we were ready to leave we had no pressure to stay. This pleased us a great deal. We returned a second time just to look closer at an Impreza and check out the interior up close. Dave wasn't available that day but the sales person on duty was also very cordial and didn't attempt to keep us on the lot which we appreciated. Again no major pressure. Third visit we made an appointment with Dave, drove three different models, one twice, and after some negoatiating we received a great price and purchased a Legacy. Brandon Vaughn in the finance department did very well explaining additional options and prepared those we chose. Service washed and preped the car, filled the tank full and Dave gave us a thorough briefing on the cars operational characteristics and accessories. Overall we had an outstanding experience! We highly recommend the Elk Grove Subaru team.

Satisfied with experience. David, Mike and Brandon were courteious and professional. Mike spent a lot of time going over the features of the car with my daughter before she left. She is thrilled with her new Forrester.

Outstanding experience!!! Excellent price for new vehicle. Zach Hall, Dave Melo and Brandon Vaughn were couteous, professional, friendly and very expeditious in the purchasing experience. The whole process took less than 2 hours, which is exceptional.

This is my fourth Subaru and when I purchase my fifth I will return to Elk Grove Subaru.

I would recommend these employees and this dealership to anyone in the market for a new Subaru.

I was shopping around for a new car. after a long day test driving in elk grove auto mall. i was already decided to buy a new Honda CRV. My Cousin who just bought a new subaru said i should pay a visit. So me and my sister decided to stop at Elk Grove Subaru. David greet us once we were looking around. He show us the new Imperza, crosstrek, and forester. he explained to us that they are doing a great deal on the forester, and having a 0% APR for 62 months. he is so kind and understandying my budget and didn't push us to make a decision. he explained very detail and easy to understand. I have to say after Elk Grove Honda, and Toyota. David Win me over to buy a new Subaru. even i know Maita Subaru gave me a little better deal, but i decided to go back to David, you can see how good a salesman he is!!
i will definely recommend him to all my friends and family!!!

I was introduced to Mike Waller based on the recommendation from another customer. Many positives about the sales experience but these stand out - Mike spent much time with me even though it was a very busy promotional period of the year. He showed me 3 different new models and a used Subaru I was interested in. Very knowledgeable about the vehicles he sells and absolutely no pressure. David Melo did a terrific job explaining the owner's manual as well as tips when taking the car for servicing. Mike Lagandson handled the financial details patiently even with buyers lined up due to the many vehicles sold that day. Customer relations, enthusiasm and dedication to the product - I definitely recommend Mike Waller and Elk Grove Subaru to new customers.

I walked into EG Subaru dealership just to look at the Subarus that my wife and daughters were raving about. There I met David Melo and he was just full of information about the Subarus but was not ready to pull the trigger on a car. I came back a couple of weeks later to test drive a Legacy and David was there to help me out. After the drive, we talked and he offered to make a deal on a Legacy. I told him that I was waiting for a refi on my home before I could buy a car and he understood that. There was no pressure at all. Refi finally completed and it came down to a Subaru Legacy or a Toyota Camry SE. Most of the sales consultants at the Toyota dealership didn't really know that much about their product. They had to keep finding an assistant manager or manager to answer my questions. It just seems like the Toyota sales people were leaning on Toyota's reputation to sell cars instead of taking the extra step in learning about their product to sell them. There was one Toyota dealership that I went to 3 times and nobody even came to help me. I went back to the Subaru dealership because I saw the color and Legacy model that I was interested in and test drove it with David. I decided to make an offer to David and we eventually agreed on a sales price. David is a good role model of what a salesperson should be. In the past, I've dreaded going out to buy a car because of the haggling. There was no pressure and it was a pleasant buying experience. I'd recommend him and the Elk Grove Subaru dealership for those looking at buying a Subaru. Thanks David.

Had a great experience dealing with the "crew" at this dealership. I'm from the Peninsula and was more the willing to travel to this dealership for a vehicle they had on their lot. Mr. Yip was my "internet" guy who gave me a great $$ that I could not turn down. Unfortunately, he was off the day I came to look at the vehicle but was taken care off by his partner Mr Melo. He made my transaction smooth once I decided on the vehicle. No gimmicks or funny stuff, they honored the $$ that Mr.Yip and I agreed prior to my visit. On to the finance dept. where I was introduced to Mike Lagandaon. Mike knew I was pre approved and was able to get me a better rate than my credit union. Thanks Mike!!! Mike was upfront and straightforward on the deal I was getting. No extra was added and talked about just got my paper work for delivery and I was out the door. Kudos also to Mr. David Lang for giving Mike the "heads up" when I forgot to fund my checking account that same Saturday I got my vehicle. Mike was able to get back to me and assure me he will deal with my check on the following Wednesday. Honest guys who cares about their customers, hard to come buy nowadays.

We were very happy with David. He knew the subaru inside and out, answered all our questions fully and beyond. He stayed later to make sure I knew how to work the car. I would definitely recommend David to our friends to purchase a car.

We had a very good experience with Dave Melo and Omar. Dave was very helpful and knowledgeable about the cars and the brand in general. He gave just the right amount of information without overloading us. Even though we were there very late after the dealership had closed for the evening they in no way made us feel rushed into a decision. Dave took his time showing us the details of the car before we drove away again, even though it was nearly 11pm. He very much went the extra mile.

Omar was very thorough but quick in his communication of the financing options and aftermarket additions. He again, did a great job of taking his time describing our options even though the late hour. He was patient and took his time answering our questions.

It was not my intention to choose to drive 45 minutes away from my home to buy a new car, but this experience has changed my mind. I needed to have the usual safety, price, service consistency, and gas mileage however, I also needed to have an ease of entering and exiting the vehicle itself. Upon trying out the showroom Outback and Forester models, I found my questions had been answered without speaking a word. You don't always get to choose how well you bend when you reach certain ages. David Melo anticipated any impediments and made our stay seamless and enjoyable. I appreciate this care to detail and would recommend Elk Grove Subaru to anyone no matter how many candels mark their birthday cake, because I know their needs will be met and surpassed.
